Triple Killing
Brothers Stephen and Tyrece Bailey — two ex-convicts barred from driving — often had Crawford Davis drive them around, Davis' grandmother says.
About 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, hours after Davis left home to hang out with the brothers, Chicago police discovered the bodies of all three men bound with their hands behind their backs inside a stolen Pontiac Grand Prix parked in the McKinley Park neighborhood.
Davis and Tyrece Bailey, both 23, were discovered in the trunk, while Stephen Bailey, 25, was found in the car's back seat, authorities said; all three men, of the 1900 block of West Garfield Boulevard, had been beaten to death, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Child Luring Incident
April 20th, 2010 at 8pm, 5401 N. Oriole Ave: A 10 year old boy was walking to Oriole Park when a red Jeep Cherokee with 2-4 occupants pulled up alongside him. One of the occupants stated "Hey little boy are you hungry?" The boy ran to his brother at the park. The vehicle left the scene but returned a short time later. The boys then went home without further incident. Victim is a CPD family member.

Not sure what else Tyrece had done, but why suspend someone's license for not paying child support? Sort of makes it harder to get around and work so that one could pay child support. (OK perhaps Tyrece had no intention of paying child support, but I do not see the what not paying support and revoking a driver's license have to do with each other)

Well I live in the 20 sector in 014 and I NEVER see police presence on 003rd watch. Deal with it, manpower is limited and a caring attitude as well.

Part of the problem certainly lies in the fact that these two Irish Bailey brothers were hanging around with that bad black guy, Crawford, that they met at school.
No doubt about it.
016 has no manpower. Most of the time 3rd and 1st watch are one man cars. Thurs - Sat they send a rapid car to Area 5 to be assigned to 015 or 025. Most of the time that is the only rapid car. The only time a boss cares about police in 016 is when their house gets broke into, then they assign everyone and their brother to that area.

Off topic but I had to say: I live in 016 and work outside of it. I want to thank the 016 Dist Police for the work they do under limited resources. You have some great Cops working there. I do see the effort and concern. Others may bitch and bash, but I offer my sincere gratitude. Thank you.

Hey SCC, I tried to send this to Big John and Amy on WIND 560, but the message wouldn't go through. Since Big John referred to J-Fled, he must read this blog, so I am sending this to you. They were talking about police chases and then had J-Fled on (what a joke)
Does anyone really wonder why the police have stopped proactive/aggressive police work? (To clue you in, they have) Listen to yourselves for a second. One day Amy is calling for the National Guard to combat these gangbangers on the southside, the next she is critizing the police for chasing a gangbanger resulting in the tragic death of an innocent.
Society (i.e. Da'Mayor, the reverends, Weiss, liberal federal juries, the media) have the police department it wanted all along. "When society makes an enemy of it's police, it had better make friends with the criminals."
The Chicago Police could take some serious steps to stop these problems in a week, but it won't happen until society defines the "gangbangers" for what they should be, enemy combatants, not eighth grade graduates with a trobuled past. Put some more cameras in the squad cars, fire/indict some more police for a bad moment (Cozzi), that should really help the situation.
A little more consistency would make your show less frustrating to listen to, but that may be what you're going for. Thanks, Chicago cop

Same Shame in 025, never see the police driving down our street. There's no manpower so shame on Shorty.
Never see police driving down our alleys since some damn fool got speEDBUmps put in. Can't blame them for that I don't drive down allies or streets with speEDBUmps when I'm working unless I absolutely have to.
The only advantage is my neighbors seem to appreciate me, and the other cops that live in the neighborhood a little more. The people are starting to pick up what is going on.
Stay safe, we need to get our neighbors involved to dump Shorty, they're ready.
Next, J-FLED's newest strategy will be announced. He is approaching the problem from a different direction because nothing else seems to be working. It has been named the Spilotro Initiative and is aimed at saving his job.

Its such a shame how do 3 poor kids get killed for no reason while they are driving to work. And they where just getting ready to turn their lives around.

It seems that Masters now thinks he is better than the guy that put him there and we quote "can't wait for him to leave." There are eyes and ears everywhere. Let's see who lasts longer Masters or the Mayor. Any bets?

Wake up. The 20 sector is the size of some districts. They are lucky to have 3 beat cars working in the area. If you are so concern then transfer to 016. Otherwise STFU or move.

That should be big news and the alderman screaming. But no one cares. The 10 sector goes from 4000 N to 7200N. The only backup is the suburbs or the tree police. This is such a sad story. One car patrolling west of nagle to the river. Yet ODPO still scream about a lack of coverage from beat cars. You are screwed if you live in Edison Park or Norwood Park.
