Wait a Minute....

Isn't this what everyone who hasn't read the Arizona law is bitching about?
  • Transnational street gang members were the target of a series of arrests this week in the Chicago area, federal officials announced today.

    Of the 28 gang members arrested, 27 were in the U.S. without documentation and face deportation, either directly or after facing charges in the United States, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office.

    Of those arrested, 25 were from Mexico, one from Honduras and one from El Salvador, with one U.S. citizen arrested on an outstanding warrant.

So these gang bangers were targeted because they were illegals? 27 out of 28 is a heck of a percentage of coincidences if they weren't specifically profiled....which is exactly what the Arizona law doesn't do, but you'll never hear the ACLU or Luis talking about that.

Excellent! Good for Arizona for stepping up and being a leader. If we did this here we could clean up half the city in a year. This would result in everyone benefiting. Hey liberals - wake up and realize you can't save everyone, nor should you. This is the best thing that we could possibly do for everyone involved.

I'm first generation here. My parents came here LEGALLY. Do it right, or don't come at all. It is a privelege to move here - not a right. Do it correctly and reap all the rewards. Don't you dare come here illegally and be a pathetic piece of shit who doesn't have the motivation to do anything positive in you life - by earning it.

Wake up Chicago - this is a good thing.

The spin is that last year they collected the fewest amount of guns in the history of gun turn ins. Maybe they r trying for a least one downward trend this year?

We should treat Mexican immigrants the same way that Mexico treats US citizens that live in Mexico. Here is a letter from a retiree living in Mexico......

Dear Editor:
I am writing this as a citizen of the U.S. who, for several years, has lived much of the year in West Central Mexico.

My wife and I are retired, and are happy with our life here, but are very careful to adhere to the many rules and regulations that apply to our being legal residents of this country! We love the U.S., and all the advantages it gave us during all the years we grew up, raised our family, and prospered with the business that we created and worked in!

We now find it incredulous that our federal government refuses to enforce the immigration laws of the U.S., and, when a State like Arizona, in its own self defense tries to create some protection for it's citizenry, so many of the left wing, liberal people want to make villans of them, and the Mexican Government is saying that "this is an outrage and is racist!"

I would like to share with you readers what we are required to do, here in Mexico. To live down here, we must file as temporary immigrants, and to do so we must furnish: a formal application, filled out in Spanish, records that show that we have sufficient income, according to their standards, to live here, without additional income, a letter from a legal authority that shows that we have no criminal background, three sets of profile and front face photos, and pay an annual fee of approximately $100.

We also have to register our vehicle when we enter the country, and pay the registration fee, and furnish proof of Mexican Insurance coverage. If we own property down here, we have to do it through a Mexican Trust, and pay all annual Trust fees and Property taxes! We can be asked at any time to show proof of our proper documentation, and that of our vehicle, and failure to do so, will result in incarceration or impoundment and possible confiscation of our vehicle! We know of many circumstances when this has happened, so it is NO empty threat!

So, I guess we simply don't understand the double standard that the Mexican citizens that have illegally snuck into the U.S. have, and the outright hypocrisy of what the Mexican Government is touting!

The United States, and every state therein, has the right to control its borders, as Mexico does, and failure to do so jeopardizes their sovereignty!

I love hearing the liberals bitch & complain...

As I understand, the law mirrors FEDERAL LAW .....the only change is that it makes it a STATE offense which is enforcable by local & state authorities....

I'm gonna scream if I read another news item that says "without documentation" as if these illegals just forgot to get papers, or maybe some bureaucrat forgot to put the right stamp on 'em.

These people don't have documents because they're not eligible for them. They are "illegal", not "undocumented".

I'd sure like to know how it was the mainstream media all agreed that illegals weren't illegal, just undocumented.

Please. You went to Mexico to escape higher taxes on your business here in the USA. Don't try to make it sound as if you are a prisoner there. If your were in the red you would have been long gone. You forgot to mention how much money you are making from Mexicans and tourists over in Mexico. You abandoned the USA for a better life style, just like the illegals here. Difference is you get an instant visa, not like the immigrants that have to wait for 7-13 yrs.

The pro-illegal crowd needs to pull their heads out of their a**es. ICE isn't going around deporting nice little old ladies or soccer moms, nor are they deporting the hard working stiff pushing the corn cart down the street or cutting your lawn. They are deporting illegals who are here and who have commited some type of felony, usually a crime of violence or a sex crime. I'm a suburban cop in a town that is at least 50% hispanic (Northwest burbs, rimes with "Feeling"). ICE comes by every couple of months and we team up and round up as many of our gang members and sex offenders as possible. We are not out rounding up decent people. You cant swing a dead cat in this town without hitting an illegal, but 99% of them are left alone, so long as they aren't out commiting crimes in the community. You go out and start shooting or stabbing, or screw your 7yoa niece, your going to get arrested and deported, its that simple.

I totally agree with the above listed poster. Americans are treated as 3rd class citizens while in Mexico. You must follow all the rules or face fines, jail or deportation. You must have car insurance and a license? This is a joke because illegals here don't possess either. Protest for change in their laws to benefit you as an american gets you a jail term. Welfare for you as an american does not exist. Your rights are as follow.
>Right to remain silent
>be seen not heard
>pay the cost for living in Mexico or be jailed or deported.
>to exist in Country until they deem you your illegal.

This is a double standard, so why do illegals come here and demand CHANGE to benefit their cause and pockets. ANYONE injured or killed by an illegal should file a lawsuit against the FED Gov,the State and the City where injury or death occured. Illegals are EXCLUDED from filing suit.

Its a story online from CBS news - I like the last line that states that he is from Mexico. Never saw that before in a story. Gonna find out that he is an illegal and the royal short one and luis are going to parade him in front of the cameras to show not all illegals are doing crimes and should be given a break and not be arrested by the feds. remember, you read it here first...

The problem I saw with the AZ law is that it allowed citizens to sue PDs for not doing what they consider to be "enough".

You can't have your cake and eat it all at once. Ever since the U.S. became a super power, it has had to deal with the fact that the poor people of failing and corrupt nations will come to get their own quiet slice of the pie. It's true for the Mexicans, the central-Americans, the Chinese, etc., etc. Now, after they stop believing that they can somehow become white people through hard work slaving, they'll porbably turn to the underworld. There's a lot of money there.

Illegals = slaves
underworld = underground railroad

All hail Daily, our mighty god and your god too.
