Safety Warning

Just when you thought it couldn't get much lower, Kansas City shows us a new basement:
  • Kansas City Police Officers had just shot an armed suspect on Sunday morning when a crowd began to gather around them. Gunshots started getting fired at the officers, who were forced to take cover with the man that the officers had just shot.

The incident happened early Sunday morning in a parking lot at 72nd Street and Wabash Avenue. Officers were on patrol when they heard gunshots and observed a large crowd in the parking lot. Officers approached and confronted a man who was armed with a handgun. There aren’t many details about the confrontation, but one of the police officers shot the suspect.

The police officers were administering first aid to the suspect when they got surrounded by the large crowd. One of the men approached the officers aggressively and refused to back up, interrupting officers who were trying to provide first aid. The man was tased as he was coming at officers, and then taken into custody.

Numerous shots then started to get fired at officers, forcing them to take cover along with the shot suspect and the other suspect in custody. None of the officers were shot.

A gunshot victim later arrived at the hospital, who is believed to be the likely victim of the man that the police officers has shot.
So not only was the subject armed (and his gun recovered), he had just shot someone else. And the cops had to Taser someone else, then take cover when the unruly crowd started taking shots at them. Sounds like the other day on the south side where someone started shooting in an alley to distract cops from their scene.

Or like this maybe?

Someone shooting nearby to distract the coppers from the loaded rifle and pistol in the hopes of stealing them back? Hopefully, there's a Department-wide evaluation underway on how to protect and process crime scenes, seeing as how it's gotten that much more dangerous. Perhaps some of the new Lieutenants can bring their vast years of street skills to the table and assist the brass?

Watch your backs. And fronts.

This is bats__t crazy. Shooting at everything and everyone -- the offender, police trying to give first aid to offender, an uninjured arrestee, everyone.

Hell, everyone in the crowd just pull out your stolen guns and shoot whoever's next to you, get it going in a big circle. Holler "WHOO! I'm gon get my freak!" and blow your own brains out.

Who. What. Where.

RESET.

Someone give BLM a no-bid contract to supply that "sleeping gas" they say the police are supposed to use.

(OT) read on another thread about a church in Naperville talking about oak brook cop and listening to it the "cop had a bad day" and the opinion from the pastor is what his 3 daughters told him, then he says he shows a picture of his 3 daughters and says to the congregation "do these look like drug heads?" It starts at about 25:30:

http://harvestnaperville.org/watch/

We know many read this blog from all walks of life to get true information and some laughs, pastor says about looking like drug heads, in all my years of policing I never knew a "drug head" had a particular look until the body was destroyed. For example many of us (police) have arrested meth heads and other addicts and looked at previous booking photos and realized the progression over time drugs caused beautiful girls, handsome boys health taken. So your daughters were legitimately stopped for not wearing sear belts a violation of the law did you think pastor maybe just maybe that same officer who was "having a bad day" could of been at accident scenes and saw the carnage of someone not belted? Again pastor you fully admit your youngest has "sketchy friends" and was concerned about marijuana smel, sounds also maybe just maybe a little attitude by your children! At the end you say "give it up for law enforcement" why did you even tell that story? The end should of been " I want to thank that officer for protecting us and for no citation issued" lastly you obviously know about a "joint" the smell of marijuana especially with the new vehicles that have a cabin filter can hold odors even after the joint is gone! Personally my daughter was stopped by police for talking on cell phone and given a break and the "cop" sternly warned my daughter I told my daughter "stay off the dam phone when driving" she told me officers name say that same officer at a restaurant I went up to him and thanked him not just for a break but for possibly making sure my daughter did not have an accident by not paying attention! Even the presidents daughter was caught with a possible joint in Chicago saying that to say this God bless the police everywhere without police doing their jobs the mayhem would be worse!

Maybe if oak brook officers are reading this he could tell the real side of the story.

There's one thin blue line between civilization and total chaos and this war against that line has just been stepped up. (Its been going on a long time.)
HilLIARy will not stop it and I don't know if Trump can, but HilLIARy is a LIAR and above the law and Trump wants laws enforced. So...
The police in Kansas City are being forced into a situation where people will get shot. You know how the media will spin it. You're not supposed to shoot into a mass of people rushing towards you, but it'll happen somewheres. (They're not coming to shake your hand.)
The savages are getting braver.
Time will come when the civilized population will not take anymore. Remember these are the people that support you when that time comes.
Stay safe Officers, somehow.

While we we were sitting on it someone opened up a block over hoping we would run to the shots fired so they could take the car. It didn't work but it's an interesting coincidence. Latest from http://heyjackass.com

Final Stupidity Tally: 11 killed, 61 wounded
2015 weekend tally: 6 killed, 30 wounded
2014 weekend tally: 7 killed, 36 wounded

This past weekend was nearly the equivalent of the final weekends of August for 2014 and 2015 COMBINED, needing only 7 more shootings with 2 killed and 5 wounded. There have also been 6 deaths by ARSON within the past 8 days in Chicago.

Week in Progress (8/28 – 9/3)
Total Shootings: 36
Shot & Wounded: 30
Shot & Killed: 36
Total Homicides: 6

August to Date
Total Shot: 439
Shot & Wounded: 365
Shot & Killed: 74
Total Homicides: 84

Looks like August will go out with a whole lot of bangs. With 2+ days remaining, 90-95 homicides for the month is certainly within reach.

Year to Date
Shot & Killed: 439
Shot & Wounded: 2419
Total Shot: 2858
Total Homicides: 487

Just for fun, as of RIGHT NOW, Chicago
only needs 138 shootings to match 2015's mark of 2996. 8 more shooting deaths to equal the 447 deaths by gunfire for all of 2015, and only 22 deaths overall to equal the homicide count for all of 2015. Labor Day weekend is coming up. I predict the death by gunfire total will equal 2015's total by Thursday, and the total body count wil match 2015 by Saturday AM, Saturday evening at the latest. I predict that by Tuesday AM, Chicago will equal or exceed last year's mark of 2996 shootings.

( btw--I thought Al Sharpton was vile--he has nothing on this pile of shit)

Letters to the Editor

This sends a message to other officers that wrongdoing will be punished. It sends a message to the community that officers who do wrong will be held accountable.

SEND LETTERS TO: letters@suntimes.com. Please include your neighborhood or hometown and a phone number for verification purposes.

But it’s important, as well, to make a number of basic changes in the city’s collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with the police union:

The requirement that complainants filed an affidavit should be eliminated so investigators can identify additional cases of police misconduct.
Anonymous complaints should be allowed to encourage reporting by those who fear retaliation, including internal whistleblowers.
Officers should not be informed of the complainant’s name prior to interrogation.
The provision requiring destruction of records should be eliminated. This deprives the public of important information that serves numerous operational and public policy objectives.
The provision that forbids the police department from rewarding officers who act as whistleblowers should be removed.
The CBA dictates the manner in which interrogators can ask questions, which presents an unnecessary burden on them and sets them up to violate the union agreement on a technicality. The policy does not appear to comport with best practices and should be eliminated.
The CBA requires that officers must be informed of the nature of the allegations against them prior to interrogation. This provision is presently interpreted very specifically to mean a detailed recitation of the charges. This should be amended to allow for a more general recitation of allegations.
End the practice of allowing officers to apply accumulated comp time towards recommended days of discipline.
Change the policies related to the “use of force deadly force.” There is a lack of specific language regarding how to respond to non-firearm weapons, for example, and no precision as to what constitutes “reasonableness” in deciding to use deadly force. In the case of Tennessee v. Garner, the Supreme Court states that when pursuing a fleeing suspect, he or she may not use deadly force to prevent escape unless “the officer has probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious physical injury to the other officer or others.”
Until we make such changes in policy and hold officers accountable when they do wrong, the rebuilding of the broken bridge will be nearly impossible.

Rev. Michael L. Pfleger
Faith Community of St. Sabina
Chicago

"Part of rebuilding the bridge between law enforcement and citizens is demanding that officers across the nation and in the Chicago who have wrongfully killed young black men be held accountable and go to jail."

OK Father--name the police officer that was convicted of killing someone who was not held accountable? Sure the cop in new york--but it was the DA--who sought no jail time for the cop. These citizens you talk of, what you really want is mob justice--why not be honest and come out and demand a return to mob rule--why not , in the name of building bridges. What you demand , it's always hedged isn't Father in the name of some "community" , is a tearing away of basic constitutional rights for police officers because it serves your political intrests.
Our republic has a basic lists of things government can't do. The Bill of Rights .Your demands , Father spare us the cover of what citizens demand- you Rev.Pfleger demand these things, reflect nothing more then a career dedicated to tearing up the protections enshrined in the Bill of Rights for a specific set of citizens-police officers.

There must be something in the air?
500 modular sensor boxes to be installed throughout Chicago:
Via: USA Today:
The Windy City has begun installing what sounds and looks a whole lot like a Fitbit that can measure the vitals of a bustling metropolis.
Chicago, which partnered on the project with researchers at the University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory and several corporations, last week installed the first two of 500 modular sensor boxes. The devices will eventually allow the city and public to instantly get block-by-block data on air quality, noise levels, as well as vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
The project — dubbed the Array of Things and described by Chicago officials as a “fitness tracker for the city” — is a first-of-its-kind effort in the nation. Plans are in the works to replicate the project in the coming years in more than a dozen other cities, including Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Seattle. The Chicago project was funded with the help of a $3.1 million National Science Foundation grant.
“Five years out, if we’re successful, this data and the applications and tools that will grow out of it will be embedded in the lives of residents, and the way the city builds new services and policies,” Chicago’s chief information officer Brenna Berman told USA TODAY. “It will be viewed as a utility — the same way view our street lights and the way we view our buses. They are there for us and they help us get through the city more easily. … They are just part of our everyday life.”
The 10-pound, beehive looking boxes — affixed on light poles — are fitted with sensors that will allow the city to measure air and surface temperature, barometric pressure, light, vibration, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, ozone and ambient sound intensity. Two cameras in each sensor box will collect data on vehicle and foot traffic, standing water, sky color and cloud cover.

This is the world of Obama and Hillary. If she wins the animals will enter into a frenzy of violence. Also, the 10,000th Syrian "refugee" was just let into the country. Please look up the Isis recruitment video, they line up a row of men and saw their heads off with knives. These savages are what Obama has let into our country. God help those who will die as a result. Arm yourselves, train and stock up on ammo. You will be needing it.

Oh, God, WBBM radio is trumpeting this now.

Rhyme run it now, along with Lemon Record and Ja'Mal X. Everybody on the hot button straight to the top.

As someone pointed out here, Rhyme claimed that he had a gun stuck in his face "for $3.00," but still had his fancy phone, his watch...since he had his fancy phone and was busy generating multiple tweets about "how his brother hurt the community and me, Rhyme, would have given the brother a job," he could not call 911 on an armed robbery just occurred, but was forced to drive to the station instead in the car that -- astonishingly -- he was allowed to keep too.

This is fascinating. Keep talking, guy.

"Same thing happened in 004 several weeks ago. Except it was a stolen high end car from barrington that was found parked with a gun in it. While we we were sitting on it someone opened up a block over hoping we would run to the shots fired so they could take the car. It didn't work but it's an interesting coincidence. Stay safe out there."

Rahm is a bitch...
He gave the taxpayers Police coverage to the west and south
side to keep the glass-block clergy, the catered-to-constituency
and blm from chafing his thin-skinned ass and getting attention
from the national news outlets.

He's more afraid of these non-contributory assholes
than he is of you nice, hard-working, high tax-paying
white folks up in Lincoln Park and other areas who are
now getting your phones snatched, your door knobs jiggled,
your women and children cat-called, ogled and followed
by these bastards migrating from their way over-Policed traditional
hunting grounds to to where the prey is soft, weak, lazy
and unwilling/unable to fight back because of white guilt.

"No no no! Only mean, nasty and racist people fight back!
We're nice! We don't do that! We have so much so it just
doesn't seem fair to fight over it. Just give it and get
another one. We can afford it..."

Rahm has NO INTEREST in restoring YOUR PAID FOR POLICE
PRESENCE AND PROTECTION!

North Side districts that had 400 to 500 or more Coppers
25 years ago, have what now?

"We're gonna stick it in the Cops ear."
Rahm said that shit before he even took
the oath of office.

He's sticking it you tax payers ear too...

You people had better learn to hate Rahm
really hard and fight him back for what he
took from YOU!

In the meantime?
Are you just going to continue to "be nice"
to the insatiable m/fers invading you
just because Rahm gave them a political
permission slip to boldly walk up and
take whatever the fuck they want from you?

You "Nice People" had better bone the fuck up
and get real mean and mad and fight Rahm back.

"AAIIEE! That Cop just talked MEAN to us!"

Good! He should be. He's a fucking idiot. How many times have we mentioned on here that you can't use your personal cameras to record shit on duty? How many times have you morons encouraged people to do it anyway? The general orders aren't there to scare you. They're there to fuck you over when you do shit the wrong way. This dumbass decided to violate a general order and deserves to be disciplined. It would be nice if we could record these assholes acting like assholes and throw it on YouTube or send it to the media. We can't! It would also be nice if we could do all kinds of things to these assholes that they deserve. We can't! Start policing like you've actually seen the news or read the blog. They're digging shit up from years ago and stripping people. They're firing people for the littlest things. Stop doing dumb shit and giving them ammo to fuck you over. If you do shit like this now, you have only yourself to blame. Don't come on here whining about it. You should know better. Maybe now you do.

Good point sarge. With these morons firing guns at crime scenes now, how safe is it to stand there with a cell phone in your hand recording these idiots? How aware of your surroundings can you be while making a cute little movie of a bunch of jagoffs running their mouths? How prepared to defend yourself and your fellow officers are you if you're making a video with your phone? Staying safe at a crime scene means keeping your eyes on the hostile crowd and keeping your hands free to access whatever weapons you may need, or to go hands on with whichever asshole tries to start some shit? It's ridiculous that you can be disciplined for recording assholes at a crime scene. It's even more ridiculous that an officer wouldn't realize that at this point.

This still blows me...if there was ever a situation where you needed an MRAP to "overmilitarize" its way in there and rescue pinned-down personnel, this was it.

I suppose you could even take the offenders along. Either that, or leave them in their own crowd, which alternates between chanting "LET 'EM GO!" and shooting at them.

A. Are they putting something in the water?

or

B. Should they be putting something in the water?

Beats me.

Today, "getting video" comes before everything. There was just a jetliner that crashed and burned -- Middle East? -- and people were blocking the aisle, video-ing as the plane burned and the cabin filled with smoke and the crew yelled to "JUMP! JUMP!" down the exits. NYC, shootout between police and criminals on busy street at noon, and people standing upright in the middle of it taping away as s__t ricochets off planters, all over.

Not safe.
