Remember, you have to pass almost every single e-learning with a score of 70% or better. In fact, you have to pass every single Academy class and the state test to become a police officer with a 70% or better.
But you can supervise the CPD with a score of 63%.
In fact, anyone want to bet that number 585 gets promoted long before number 25 even gets a look at the silver bars?

I have worked at Ohare for the last 7 years. There is an officer who is becoming more and more unhinged.
He attacked an officer in 018 and was suspended. That incident was while he was working on OT He attacked three officers at Ohare on separate occasions and the bosses won’t do anything. All they did was kick him off the wagon so no one has to work with him. We will call this officer AA. He is a very violent guy and mental illness runs in his family
Since the bosses refuse to address this guys violent behavior where can I go ? IAD? Copa ? A deputy ? I am actually afraid this guy might snap and do something real bad.
I have 2 years left before I can retire and I’m worried.

The minimum score for passing on a CPD promotional exam is and always has been the score of the lowest meritorious candidate that they want to anoint.

Just look at the people who scored from 63% to 70%.
Every merit promotion should list where they placed in the promotion exam when they are published. There should also be a time limit on nominators. Especially if they've passed or incarcerated, they should be taken off the list. No one should be promoted, meritorious or otherwise if they haven't at least passed the minimum score of an e- learning module. If the diameter wants to do better, they have to be better, or we're all going to be replaced by rent-a-cop or decertified like the airport police...#bringbackBeck, #getridofmerit

20-30 percent merit selectees on each tier of promotion. That adds up and multiplies in percentages over the years. Some receiving merit three times in a row. This has been going on for decades now. A good test score may net you a single promotion. But clout will get you to the top.
There are reasons that our Superintendent never passed a promotion exam. He didnt need to. Our boss holes are double and triple merit promos.
I just wish they would stop acting like everything is legit when they know it is not. I had one of these bosses tell me that CPD was a military like structure system. I said "The military would never promote someone who had no merit" All I got after that was a blank stare....
