- The information contained on this website comes primarily from three datasets provided by the Chicago Police Department (CPD), spanning approximately 2002 to 2008 and 2011 to 2015. The CPD has released these lists in response to litigation and to FOIA Requests.
The City of Chicago’s release of this information was accompanied by a disclaimer that not all of the information contained in the City’s database may be completely accurate. No independent verification of the City’s records has taken place and this public database does not purport to be an accurate reflection of either the City’s internal database or of its truthfulness.
Slight changes to the spelling of officer names and to the wording of abuse categories have been made to accommodate a consistent appearance. A glossary of our understanding of common CPD terms has been provided. No other editing of the City’s original datasets has taken place.
This public database also contains other readily available data that has been linked to the City’s original datasets, including: CPD beat geographies, Chicago ward boundaries, Chicago neighborhood boundaries, et cetera.

I looked my name up. Not only were not all my CR's there it was very vague regarding the details of said CRs. Not as bad as I anticipated.

Checked my name, way off. When I ran the individual complaints, I know exactly who some of them belong to based on the units of occurrence. Guess if you have a common name they just lump them all on one person. I know of two other Officers with the same name as me. Wonder why they have no accountability, or no one from the City could at least verify the information before it was posted. I look as bad as Finnegan and Herrera with all these beefs dumped on my star number.

Four years? This lists blanket CRs I got on a tact team I was on as a PO. I was off that team for over a year when I was promoted to Sergeant in ..... 2003.
Every name that I looked up (and there were a lot) were spelled correctly.

On their website...if you look to the right where you enter a name there is a Request More Info Button. After clicking the button; it asks the user for their email address and a PDF file will be sent to the email address.
Right now there are no active PDF files in their database or they are waiting to activate them.

Just another way the 60's radicals can demonize the police. Dirty up the police. Release the criminals from jail. I'm not CPD, but are they including uniform violations and other strictly personnel issues? Late for work? Not file a personnel form on time? That's how I'm reading some of the stuff here.
We need to propose legislation making shitbirds backgrounds public too. The public should be able to view ALL police mugshots and rap sheets, not just the ones media affairs releases. Let the citizens see this and I'm sure they'll no longer view the police as the enemy!

I have a couple of concerns regarding alcohol and substance abuse CR's.
Couldn't it be argued that if an officer is given a CR for alcohol or substance abuse, then seeks treatment, would the reporting of those acts be a violation of HIPA laws? Alcoholism and drug addiction are considered medical conditions with known medical treatments. Wouldn't those officers who have had treatments for those conditions and had a CR obtained on them, had their rights under the HIPA Act violated by not only the City, but Mr. Futterman and the University of Chicago?
Maybe someone a bit more knowledgeable in HIPA law could enlighten us.
Check out how they put the quotes around "allegations" and "unsustained"...

Yes, I agree with you that a complaint never should have been taken, that is in a perfect world. But, CPD is not a perfect world. A supervisor who does not take the complaint, no matter how petty it might seem, and get a CR within a hour will themselves be the subject of a complaint and it will result in time off. It is a shit system, but that is how things are. The only people that you cannot file a complaint on, is a gold star.
Yeah, so you go on here and look for a good guy 20 yrs OTJ, and he's got exactly 2 CRs, both unsubstantiated. One was filed by "unknown male" on him and the whole rest of the watch for some bs involving an arrest, other by "unknown female," "inappropriate display of weapon, off-duty." So he was putting groceries in the trunk and his jacket hiked up a little or something...
I wonder how many parasites got a big government grant to live off of while they put all this crap up.

Reality check -- the $5.00 value small cell phone (NOT a smartphone) with very limited minutes per month goes to eligible elderly and indigent for emergencies, so they will not be completely cut off from calling the doctor, etc.
This is called "Lifeline" service. You can get a very basic cell, or you can get a wireline phone to your home, local outgoing calls only, BUT NOT BOTH. They DO enforce this.
No eight-year-old on south or west side would be caught dead with such a phone. They all have latest Apple, Android, etc.
Just trying to keep it real. There is a big mass hallucination about cornucopias of free s__t -- actually, help can be an awful lot harder to get than people prefer to think. Massive "blended families" where no two people in the place have the same last name, massive illegal-alien families and groupings do a lot better, just by strength of numbers, than does one elderly person alone. Ten people jammed in a place, crashing on mattresses, pay $75.00/month rent each. One person pays $750. One person pays $100/month for phone/Internet and takes the bus, a whole houseful with four-five new cars in the new driveway gets free broadband because one of their many kids "is eligible for the school lunch program."
Like that.

The logic will be that a person with too many CR's has an employment risk. The banks don't want to lend to someone that may default. Unless of coarse the loan is to a multi-racial, illegal alien, transgender, medical marijuana using, ex-felon, asthma diagnosed, Democrat. (As if there is any other type of Democrat.) :)
