Brainiac

  • An Englewood man carrying marijuana and an illegal gun asked Chicago Police officers for a ride home early Thursday, prosecutors said.

The officers were happy to oblige — as long as 18-year-old Christopher Burton agreed to a patdown, court records show. That's when police found a loaded gun with six live rounds and a bag of marijuana worth roughly $10.

"Either you were going to shoot the police or you're stupid," Cook County Judge Adam Bourgeois Jr. said during Burton's bond hearing. "You're armed with an illegal gun, and you're going to ask the police for a ride home."
We're going to go with Choice "stupid."

Don't y'all worry about a thing.
He'll be personally escorted out the front
door at 26th & Cal by "Sir/Ma'am" Prickwrinkle
like the conquering urban hero he is...

Then he'll be presented as a "dreamer"
and invited to break bread with the
Emanuel family in an artfully crafted
photo-op/press release by local media
and the city hall agit-prop apparatus.

Heh... We wonder if Rahm has it in him
to sit down for a cup o' common sense
with some Police Retirees and Widows?

They're dreamers too...

The interesting thing?

The Police are STILL considered to
be the problem here in Chicago.

Final court disposition?
We expect the usual...

Heads-Up play by the involved Officers.

But remember. This IS Chicago after all.

Your department email? That's all public information. It's also just your firstname.lastname@chicagopolice.org. Shouldn't be hard for even ol' Andy to figure out. If it's your personal email, you probably fucked up and used it for some work-related form at some point. Not an Englewood thing. I work the burbs. Got a mental that regularly calls for rides on nights. She's done this too much to pretend she's not asking for a ride. We've done it too much to pretend we're not giving her a ride. She calls and says where she is. We show up and ask where you going. She's the one we don't mind but she is far from the only one. We probably do a lot more taxi driving bc the distances, the lack of transit and a lot of times people have no idea how to get out of town. We always got an express ride to the border.

Here a question: Is the judge who hears the case going to believe the arresting officers? This happened to me and my partner years ago. We were driving east bound on Madison Street and came to a stop light at California. We stopped out car and my partner looked at the driver who was in his car also stopped for the light. My partner said," Look at the guy on the right. I looked and here he was sitting behind the wheel of the vehicle turtling a Rohm 22 with his index finger. The driver looked over at us and it was by far one of the best Kodak moments I have ever seen. We both got out of the car and arrested this individual. We wrote the report exactly as it happened. My partner went to court and after hearing his testimony, the judge said, no probably cause, do you really expect me to believe this story. The case was dismissed. Afterwards the States Attorney who was assigned to Br 27(for you young Officer that was gun court at 11th and State) told my partner the next time lie. Keep us posted, I want to see if nothing has changed

I held the money tight and as he tried to take the money I cuffed one hand, exited the vehicle and completed the arrest. First words out of his mouth, my og was right I'm a dumb, blind always high mfer. Judge got a chuckle when the state asked if he made any comments after being arrested. You can't make this shit up.

Andy Shaw and the rest of his anal-whoring
media co-horts are charter members of
Rahm & Co.

They have a vested interest in seeing this blog
"Taken Down" because it is the ONLY source
of pristine, un-fucked-with, non-narrative driven,
news and information that they have no editorial
oversight or control over, and it burns them up.

If you take the sum of commentary regarding this blog,
there is much resentment over Policemen having a
more or less free, unencumbered by conditions of
employment (but studiously regulated by the blog-
masters for the most blatant no-no's) voice.

That irks the powers that be to no end because they
cannot freely invoke "You Cops have no right to
free and unencumbered speech nor do you have the
right to express your thoughts about anything because
WE have the power and control to negatively affect
your pay and working conditions even if you think
and speak in a manner that displeases us even on
your own time."

There are a LOT of people who wish the noisy, restless,
Blue-Suited churls would just sit down and shut up
because their spirited free-thinking "on that blog"
is drawing too much attention and is undermining
the controls they desperately want to be in place.

The last thing they want is a ground-swell
to occur in Chicago that centers around
"Those wild-assed, out-of-control Coppers
who run and post on that blog."

The new administration at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.,
READS THIS BLOG for a instructional on how to
DESTROY the criminal culture at City Hall that
has rendered this city unlivable for good, decent,
law abiding people.

Surprised?
Don't be...
The previous administration tuned in slavishly
to mine this blog and funnel information back
to City Hall.

Chicago Policemen must've REALLY
been seen as a national security threat
to merit all those "pings" from
Washington D.C. and other seats of
government authority in VA., MD.
and elsewhere.

Funny... We can't think of any Chicago Copper
who seeks to undo the fabric of this nation,
so the Fed-Gov attention, though flattering
IS unmerited and an object lesson in
"Cannons pointed the wrong way."

(SCC says: "Get out of our head!" 😆)

The plethora of leftist swing-dicks/hang-tits,
on the other hand, really need to have the
contents of their underwear drawers searched
and displayed sunny-side-up for all to see.

The "wild-assed, out-of-control Coppers" will be the
eventual undoing of a lot of people who have done
the criminal (and unethical) bidding that emanates
from City Hall.

That's why Andy Shaw is sniffing around.
He must've heard something that made him
nervous or he's just taking it upon himself
so that he can somehow win another accolade
for "shutting down another Cop blog."

And failing that?
It will be put forward as more "evidence"
of the liberal progressive boogey-man of:
"The Blue Wall of Silence."

Andy Shaw can tuck a napkin in his collar
and eat the plentiful, free-swinging,
hyper-violent street criminal dick
running free in Chicago.

Police Like You Have No Friends.

Maybe there is a door number three?
Maybe a guy exercising his rights held no ill will toward cops at all, was just tired of walking and asked for a ride. Way to go guys, snapping off on a guy who hadn't done anything besides ask a question. All ya had to do was decline, say that cops aren't cabs, and go hunt someone who had actually done something called a crime.

This is a good example of how your closed community group think has you MISS IT entirely! You do not see how BAD this makes you look. Fellas, we have a RIGHT to arms, all of us, and to all bearable arms. You have to get over this 'illegal gun' conjob. Guns aren't illegal. Government doesn't have the authority to make guns illegal. Sure, they can be stolen, but that is different, and honest folks will admit it. I know you fellas have been conditioned with that wicked training to think crime when you see a gun, to think "illegal" when you even THINK there is a gun, much less there actually being one. That training was and is errant.

What is it SCC points at directly? Cops were worried about getting shot, right?
Guess what? We The People THINK and FEEL exactly the SAME THING. Your immediate jump to "you were going to shoot me" is EXACTLY the foul drama coming from BLM to YOU! They are RETURNING the same sentiment you are giving to them, and this article is admission of it.

Weed weed blah blah blah. Admit this too - had he not had a bag of weed ya STILL woulda came with the 'illegal gun" RAHMSPEAK! So please get this through your heads - OK? You carry guns to defend yourselves, as you should. How would YOU react to being told that you doing so is you being guilty of a crime, of carrying an illegal gun? Oh wait -that IS the essential message BLM is handing you. Yeah it IS all BULLSHIT, all of it. Notice please, it is bullshit coming from your end just as much as it is from them.

Having and carrying a gun isn't a crime. It is just exercise of right. Try treating it that way, which is actually your job. There is a whole lot of stupid going around and it ain't just the people on the street.

Shot Spotter lost it saying the City had to account for the 500k for the room. The morning the room was unveiled, HQ scrambled to send guys in to scrounge TV's, computers, desks and phones and put them together for the press conference. did not Shaw and his Better Government Assn give photos of police officers to the Sun Times who then posted these photos on the front page. I don't think Shaw is a friend of the police. I turned him on to some official corruption a few years ago and his organization ignored it. He picks and chooses what he wants to do and which will not interfere in his fund raising. Just like the rest of the media, Shaw and the BGA is not to be trusted. Do not give them money, do not respond to the BGA do not talk to them. They are not your friend but looking for headlines and money. The BGA has not done anything of any value for some time now.

~SNIP!~

Nah...
Can't be sarcasm.

Illinois vs. Wardlow
might be a good starting point for you.

Plain Feel Doctrine?
Officer Survival?

OK you idiot,
failing all that, how about
just a little common sense?

And if the "citizen" in question was
on the up and up, he would've declared
the weapon, shown proof he was authorized
to possess said weapon and would have temporarily
surrendered same to the involved officers if getting
a ride really meant that damned much to him.

Don't let your outrage hit you
in the ass on the way out.

Fuck you and fuck the mutt in question too.

I used to work a K9 beautiful shepherd. Anyways a young (13?) m/1 involved in a theft was being chased around by the street cops who lost sight of him. I spot him barely walking & all winded. I pull up to him in my fully marked crown vic with large "caution K9" on the back doors. He goes "ok you got me I give up" . He then opens the back door to get in.... The look on his face was priceless!

He will simply be a drain on resources. I guarantee our tax dollars are already paying for him in a variety of ways and will likely pay for his room and board in prison.

So you're missing the point that our job is making the determination if the person with the gun is/has/or will commit a crime. I'm a life member of the NRA, ISRA, and although I appreciate your decent tone while explaining your point, you missed this.

D. A licensee shall not carry a concealed firearm while under the influence of alcohol, other drug or drugs, intoxicating compound or combination of compounds, or any combination thereof, under the standards set forth in subsection (a) of Section 11-501 of the Illinois Vehicle Code [430 ILCS 66/70(d)].

So I encourage you to exercise your right, but when you smoke some weed, you're in violation of the law. Then it becomes my job.

I was working mids one winter night and training a rookie. We stopped this car that had been driving all over the road and it pulled into a gas station lot. The driver got out before I walked up to his car and started dancing around. I asked him if he had been drinking to which he replied " Hell no, I don't drink, I do drugs, Cola! I asked if had had any on him and he reached into his pocket and dumped six snow seals in my hand. I had the rookie watch him as I didn't think anyone could be that stupid. I walked back to the squad and opened one of the packets. Sure as hell it was coke and he gave me four more when we got him back to the station. The bond hearing the next morning was hilarious when the judge asked "Officer, is it your sworn testimony that the defendant placed six packets containing suspect cocaine in your hand? I said "Yes your honor, it is" That was one of the funniest stops in my 27 year career

Thank you for giving us a glimpse inside the mind of the libtard. We live in a society that has these certain rules and stuff. We call them laws. If someone wants to carry a gun, there are legal requirements to be met and adhered to in order to carry that gun legally. If you choose to carry a gun without following those laws, you're carrying that gun illegally. It's that simple. Do you want violent criminals to be armed with guns? Do you want them carrying stolen guns? Do you want them to carry machine guns? Where do you want the line drawn? What if I only feel safe carrying a flamethrower and grenades? Why shouldn't I be allowed to carry those to protect myself? You seem to think this individual was just some regular law-abiding citizen who happened to wander into the path of some cops on a mission to infringe upon his imagined rights to carry illegal items. Do you think the thousands of shootings that happen in Chicago each year are perpetrated by citizens exercising their rights to bear arms and defend themselves? There are such things as violent criminals, who purposely commit violent crimes upon good citizens and upon their fellow criminals. You're probably the dumbest motherfucker to ever post here, so I'm sure none of this will get through to you. It's also quite possible that you suffer from mental illness, because your entire thought process is completely fucked. You somehow believe that you made a valid and coherent point somewhere in your whiny, rambling, idiotic rant. You're exactly the type who ends up being killed by the police because you believe you're "exercising your rights" when you're actually just blatantly violating the law. You'd stand there pointing your gun at the police, demanding that they leave you alone and put their guns away because you're "not doing anything wrong" and you're just "exercising your rights." Read up on the gun laws. Read up on how to interact with the police in order to avoid problems. Read up on psych meds, and have a doctor show you some and prescribe you some. There is a whole lot of stupid going around, and it's inside your feeble, demented mind.

P.S. Please post your manifesto somewhere and give us a link on here. I'd love to read it. Don't pretend you don't have one either. Share with us.

Not surprising...
The liberal media in this town has willingly

riotously rotting in Hell, Stalin era
Pravda forebears...

This IS some Pravda-esque shit...
Editing people into/out of photographs.

Local media wishes they had power to
consign Policemen (and others) to a
modern day American Lubyanka to be
summarily shot in the back of the head
as the result of "good work" like
what The Reader has done with these
artfully edited photos.

"If we gin up enough misdirected outrage..."

May the Reader editorial board, the reporter
and photographer ALL find themselves in dire
need of assistance from The Police and said
assistance is nowhere to be had.

Viva Hate.

If it were anybody else, they'd have
plausible grounds to initiate a civil
action for slander.

Might want to brush up on that Constitution and Declaration to see that Incorporation has consequences that cannot be escaped. Do YOU want to be that cop who is made the example of, you know, in a section 1983 case, personally? Do you want to be the one who is busted criminally and civilly both?

Wake up guys, and gals, the Second Amendment actually does apply to Ollinois too, and even Chicago. Even Chicago cops. It is time to shed that wicked pathetic training you got that relies on subject only to the police power as if it controls. It doesn't and it is time to accept that......before it costs you everything, and your family everything and even the city so much money if yer both on the hook that you coulda had a doubling of all pensions for a straight decade. You guys gotta shed that gun equals crime mentality, that get the guns off the street mentality. That training was faulty, wickedly faulty. Something else ya gotta face - open carry will happen and there isn't anything that can stop it. Might as well get used to it, and the fact that it will be BETTER for YOU in the end when it does.

*****************************************

Wow- the fucktard is strong with this one. Where to begin?

1) As mentioned in the original post, the subject in question is 18 years of age. With very limited exceptions, (such as posession of a handgun under the DIRECT SUPERVISION of a PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN, or in the case of dire emergency, such as defending against a burglary or home invasion) FEDERAL law PROHIBITS the posession of a handgun by anybody under the age of 21, PERIOD.

2) Another poster pointed out that the aspiring rocket surgeon was walking 'round with a wee bit o' weed - another little detail that would void lawful posession of said firearm, regardless of a legal-age carrier having an FOID and/or a CCL.

3) When asked if the officers could pat him down to ensure their safety, the subject consented, which takes the 4th Amendment out of the picture. Whether he was capable of INFORMED CONSENT due to any intoxication is an issue that could be raised on appeal, but since Crook County doesn't do fuck-all in terms of sentencing, it's pretty much a moot point.

4) Reading is fundamental . . . Asshat.

Just to clarify, federal law does not prohibit handgun ownership under 21.
It does prohibit purchasing a handgun from an FFL until 21.

This was implemented in the 1968 Gun Control Act (GCA).
I've heard many stories from old guys of being accepted into the academy, but had to get daddy to buy them their pistol from the gun shop so they could become the police.

Even IL does not prohibit purchasing a handgun for an 18yr old for a private purchase.

But you need your parents to get your foid until your 21.

And transporting a handgun in IL has restrictions until your 21.

Several states issue ccw permits to under 21, more allow unpermitted open carry under 21.
