- Chicago Ald. Leslie Hairston says her latest proposals to provide intervention programs to fight violence have received no support—and squarely blamed Mayor Rahm Emanuel Friday with some pointed words.
"I place that at the heels of the mayor who refuses to fund intervention programs and, when given the opportunity with the resources, chooses to fund flowers and more bike lanes," Hairson said.
The Black Caucus is thinking that Rahm can't get elected without them, and they might be right.

Really? Because that kind of runs counter to what Prickwrinkle and Dart have been saying for a few years now. If certain people (or folks) were behind bars, they wouldn't be committing more crimes. See the story above this one.

Community folks are beginning to think that Mayor Rahm does not fully support them. Now he wants to sic the police on them and and lock them up. this is wrong thinking.
We need a candidate that is for everyone (white, black, brown, yellow, etc)
I believe if this was a proposal for a program to intervene on the police and their ways of doing things in an attempt to "reach out" and get closer to the community it would be funded by Rham. No problem. Remeber things can only be fixed by fixing the police. They're the problem. Lol

So the mayor again is going to try to use shaming and people are going to continue doing what they do. Apparently they were having a tenuous relationship when he tried to kick her out of the station, to which she apparently replied, "This is my station. I put you here and I can take you out". Ernie threw Hairston out of the 003rd district station because she found out Ernie had used her affections until he became engaged to (and later married) a fellow officer's (then) 25 year old girlfriend. Hairston was quickly tossed to the curb by DTEB much like a used kleenex.If not for Hairston, DTEB would have never been promoted out of 003 due to his numerous complaints.
