This last week has shown the wide gap between news media outlets. After the latest violence in London, several left leaning reporters were citing eyewitnesses who claimed that some unarmed constables fled the scene while more conservative outlets heaped praise on several constables who engaged the knife wielding offenders with merely their truncheons. Bottom line is that someone is looking/reporting with lies.
It was also comedic to see the Chicago media showing one Sgt. armed with a carbine at the U2 concert. The reports implied that a full platoon was armed and ready to secure Soldier Field. If only the citizenry knew how few CPD personnel are currently armed with patrol rifles. If only the media would shed light on our SWAT unit and their main problem is being led and equipped by our gold badge buffoon brigade.

All you have to do is recall what happened to Rice in Cleveland. He was 12 years old, but a very big 12 year old, almost 6 feet and over 200 lbs. And, he was waving around a very realistic pellet gun. When the police pulled up he pulled the gun from his waist band and pointed it at the police. The officer shot and killed the kid. The officer was fired, and his partner the driver suspended for pulling the car too close. The civil rights political class blasted and demonstrated because the kid was only 12, it did not matter what he did. I can only imagine what Foxx would do for the pressure on her would be great to do something , at least symbolically.

Shocked that the Chase wasn't called off (considering this climate) and Thankful that no officer was hurt and the offenders were caught with both weapons still in the car...unfortunately that Yute will be out to shoot again in a matter of weeks. As a upstanding black male citizen I approve this post. Yes it is difficult to raise kids but you owe it to the community and your family to do your part. We did not give out cell phones, cut cable, got even more involved in my kid's friends and school activities. Yes for many parents they would say, no big deal, but guess what?
