- NEAR WEST SIDE — Parking ban signs installed on the Near West Side aimed at curbing gang parties have been vandalized before the ban was scheduled to begin.
Part of a larger plan to keep partiers from parking near Touhy-Herbert Park, the residential parking restrictions are set to go into effect July 24. But just days after the signs were installed, at least one sign near West Adams Street and South Hamilton Avenue near the defunct Jelly Bean Garden was pushed to the ground, and at least one other parking sign was removed, neighbors reported.
The signs were installed June 27 and were torn down by Friday night, said one neighbor, who has asked not to be named for fear of retribution. Neighbors have reported the damaged signs to the city's 311 non-emergency call center, he said.
Without a quick response force of a few hundred coppers and the political will to jail 100 people (and folks) at a time, the residents might as well move out and let the hood revert to what it was when the Horner Homes were up and running full steam.

The folks need to party in this hot weather. It helps to relax them and keep tempers from flaring. It's just happy making for the folks in the community, what could go wrong?

Wouldn't there be protests and 24 hour news coverage if these signs went up in parks located in Jeff Park or Mt Greenwood?

Shit there is Rahma Dama Ding Dong and Big head Ed telling all the media who will listen it was just a blip and they have NOT LOST CONTROL OF THE CITY ........All is well and everything is safe
Would love to have the rest of the country see the video antics of this crew. No one would believe how these people act until they see it.

Maybe it's time to re-name the park after criminal emancipators, obama-holder.
A new name will create a fresh, new community start.
Add a huge field house, a pool, fitness center, law liberry, concessions, free Divvy stations and pre-natal and daycare dropoff center, free lunch and needle exchange.

@ 8:20 am. Not sure when was the last time you wrote a Parker (or any citation for that matter) but the folks (and people) clear out or act up (depending on the police to sh!thead ratio) when a parking naz! shows up. Don't think you realize but 2 parkers and vehicle becomes boot eligible and if it's one thing the street creatures value is their wheels

The freeze was going to exempt cook county because they need more money for education. It's all for the children!
Burnett is an ex con who is tight with the gangbangers and has made it clear in public meetings that the 20% (whites) who voted against him get no services.
