Da Brother Speaks da Truth! I was recently by the renovation project at the Wilson "L" station, a project that will cost well over $100 Million Dollars! I looked at the workers and there were no POC, people of color working any of the skilled trades. The cars in the parking lot, had stickers from suburbs. So how did this happen? How is it that we take Federal and City tax money and send it to the burbs? Why are we missing this opportunity to train young Minority residents in trades related to the repair and maintenance of infrastructure? COULD IT BE BECAUSE WE WANT TO KEEP THE BASE DEMOCRAT CONSTITUENCY DUMB, POOR AND ON THE PLANTATION?

Great points...but no one should delude themselves into thinking that Trump or his cabinet have any interest in straightening out our horrendous democratic machine here. We have over 20 ATF agents dropped into Chicago to combat the violence, almost two months ago...Anyone notice a change in the weekend body count? Yesterday's news says we are 'on pace' to record over 700 murders here this year. All of these ATF agents, on top of the hordes of FBI agents monitoring public corruption throughout the state here...and what changes? Only Trump's choice of a U.S. Attorney here.
So tired of hearing that the Republican party is for old rich white guys. If more black men like these two guys would join the party, that would end that falsehood. Conservative principles work period. Look at Wisconsin, and Indiana, both are run by Republicans, and have a surplus budget. Illinois run by democrats and is in the hole year, after year.
