We guess there was something to the rumors when one half of the Wonder Twins "retired" with less than 24 hour notice. If we're reading this correctly, this asshole was crooked for at least 24 of his 32 years on the job - 75% of his career:
- A former Chicago police commander who earned praise for overseeing big reductions in violence in one of the city’s most historically dangerous districts has been charged with stealing more than $360,000 in Social Security funds in a scheme lasting more than 23 years.
A one-page criminal information filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court accused Kenneth Johnson of bilking the Social Security Administration out of $363,064 from about June 1994 to November 2017.
Although the charge does not contain any more details, sources with knowledge of the investigation told the Chicago Tribune that Johnson is accused of stealing benefits intended for his mother. The charge also makes no mention of Johnson’s former role with the Police Department. The 32-year CPD veteran retired in August.
Johnson, 54, is scheduled to be arraigned next week before U.S. District Judge Manish Shah, court records show.
Defendants charged by criminal information typically plead guilty.
Interesting last sentence there. Who else is he going to give up? Someone close to him? Someone who knew both him and mom? Someone who shared a womb with him 54 years ago?

Around that exact year of 1994 this fool claimed his u/c car was broken into and his "buy" money was stolen. A couple thousand. Let's see, in the last couple of years we have had a Noble related Lieutenant exam cheating scandal investigation (some still say it's far from over), The Camel Rider (while she hasn't made the newspapers for anything criminal yet, just about everyone and their mother whose dealt with her will tell you that she was a disaster), Henny Penny demoted commander of 011 for various domestic related tomfoolery, a 025th District Commander involved in seemingly endless dramas and proof that LAPA can be just as poisonous as Noble, and now we have Mr. Johnson, retired Commander and accused master thief of Social Security. There are many more but I'll get violently ill and vomit up the Moon Pie I just ate, and washed down with a 6 pack of Hamm's, if I think of any more examples. Well okay, maybe not criminal but that one Southside Commander that showed up at that one shooting, over the summer, should have been arrested for her fashion sense.
I normally don't waste my time bad mouthing any Superintendent on this blog. They have always pretty much been just a puppet for the Mayor. Big Ed is a different animal. Just brutal with his Command Staff and overall negligence while this administration is on cruise control. Is anyone else here embarrassed to be a police officer? You should be. I know I am.

011 leads all districts in all four VIOLENT crime categories and SHOOTING INCIDENTS. 011 is the only district in the CPD in which VIOLENT crimes (1,633) surpass PROPERTY crimes (1,473).
With an estimated population of 250,000 (which would make 008 qualify as the second most populous city in Illinois), it's an understandable factor as to why 008 leads the CPD in PROPERTY crimes.

I am not an expert on this but I believe a felony conviction related to his employment is necessary to lose the pension. The Illinois Attorney General has to bring the action against the police officer. Now with Raul in the job, he would have to call Madigan to get the OK. I doubt this would happen.

Don't think the pension can be stripped. As usual, the local prosecutors aren't prosecuting, so that means no state charges which might authorize stripping the pension. Official Misconduct couldn't be charged anyway since it doesn't look like he used his position for the theft.
What feds and fed judge could do, however, is seek restitution (ideally with interest) and also impose a whopping big fine.
Either way, he'll be keeping a fortune from his pension.
He did drive a new Audi A8. Just sayin.

Hey misinformed, you're committing a crime and it doesn't have to be duty related. This is grounds to lose you pension. Look at it this way, he robbed a bank five years ago and goes on pension. Then he's identified and convicted of that robbery, he will lose his pension and it was not duty related. Remember this, you are always a police officer on or off duty, so just to make you feel better, your on duty all time, therefore its duty related. Fuck it, he's got big problems with the pension period.

As far as getting caught for collecting mama's Social Security; it's quite simple. SS is closely connected to Medicare. Medicare premiums are deducted from SS. There is no 70, 80, or 90 year old alive that goes for years without incurring a medical bill. SS can and will track this lack of expenditures. How KJ got away with it this long is anyone's guess, but all who pull this stunt will eventually get caught. Aren't criminals stupid? Uneffin believable. Very unNOBLE to say the least.
