1,479 Days

  • The city of Chicago went more than a full day without a reported shooting this week, from late Wednesday night to early Friday morning.

No gunshot victims were reported between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 2 a.m. Friday, according to Chicago police and Sun-Times records.
Not to worry - Chicago is already on its way to a new streak with two in a row so far. Check back in about four years from tonight.

That won’t stop some commander from demanding more traffic stops from the troops though.

De-Esalante to be held in contempt of court, will that mean Eastern Illinois fires him, he was at the Daley Center a few days ago for a hearing:

On August 2, 2018, this Court ruled that records about the Laquan McDonald case on the
personal email and text accounts of the public officials at issue in this case are public records
under FOIA, and ordered those current and former officials to "provide copies of those records to
the Chicago Police Department's FOIA officer." Ex. A (Aug. 2, 2018 order). Per the Court’s
order, CPD asked John J. Escalante to provide it with those emails and text messages. Ex. B.
Escalante refused to conduct any search and provided no records. Id.
Wherefore, Plaintiff asks that the Court hold John J. Escalante in contempt, fine him
$1,000 a day until he complies, and award such other relief the Court considers appropriate.

Great time of year coming up for chicagoans. Spring, easter, graduations, and we are basically shocked that a whole day has passed without anyone shot in the city. Has violence become acceptable, a fabric of our society that just happens. People won't let the kids out of the house, you can't walk anywhere without looking over your shoulder. So sad that such a great city has such a legacy of violence.

Unfortunately, we are starting another streak of days with an officer shot and killed in 018 district. He was off duty and
Seems like he was out with friends (another p.o.) and they were targeted and shot at. He was pronouced already.
Officer has very little time on the job. God bless and prayers to his friends and family.

Well Jamal Green and BLM has endorsed Lightfoot for mayor. Green says they can “work” with Lightfoot on Police reforms. That is a good enough reason for me to vote for Toni Preckwinkle. We can’t let Green and BLM get into the mayors office under any circumstances.

I seem to remember a north side Tac Lt., years ago, who had his live-in boink girl driving around in his take home, unmarked car. She was stopped by an Inspector while grocery shopping at Jewel and she called the LT. He showed up and MF'd the Inspector and got dumped from his tac spot. At least he married the girl, though.

Just think about what is being celebrated in the third largest city in the country. One day that's "shooting free" in FOUR years. Only one day. How disgraceful is this especially from the lying Mayor Rahm and his Chicago Values. His ruinous reign of death, destruction, deception (hiding the JVD video) and corruption at City Hall.

April 2nd cannot come any sooner for you to release power and control of the city to new leadership. It is unthinkable the new Mayor would do any worst than you. It truly will be a celebration welcoming in the new Mayor, but equally important is that you will no longer cast your small, dark and odious shadow on the 5th floor.

Off duty murdered, off duty shot near north neighborhoods,
It likely was done by gang bangers that should be in prison , released early , out on bond or not prosecuted.
May that young Officer Rest In Peace and his friends recover fro injuries .
Prayers for their Families.

Work product is always a public record regardless of how it is created. You can't claim a traffic citation is private property just because you used your own personal pen to write it.

The Naperville Police and Fire Departments will host the 15th annual St. Baldrick’s Event in Naperville on Saturday, March 23, 2019. The signature head-shaving event to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to raising money for children’s cancer research, will be held at the Chicago Naperville Marriott, 1801 N. Naper Blvd., starting at 5 p.m. During the Naperville Public Safety St. Baldrick’s event, more than 40 people will brave the shave in solidarity with kids with cancer and raise money to “Conquer Childhood Cancers!” through raffles and a silent auction.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., followed by the opening ceremony at 6 p.m. led by the Naperville Fire Department’s Honor Guard and Pipes and Drums, assisted by the Naperville Fire Explorers, Naperville Police Explorers and the Lockport Township High School Junior Air Force ROTC. Emcee Andy Hampton will lead a program of remembrance and a celebration of survivorship before the shaving fun kicks off at 7 p.m.

Why all the shaved heads? Worldwide a child is diagnosed with cancer every three minutes, and one in five children diagnosed in the U.S. will not survive. With only four percent of all federal cancer research funding dedicated to pediatric cancer research, St. Baldrick’s Foundation volunteers, supporters and donors are needed to continue the battle against this devastating disease.

The Naperville Public Safety St. Baldrick’s Event is a free, family-oriented evening featuring a dedicated kid’s room and kid’s raffle and multiple other raffles taking place in addition to the shaving fun. Please join Naperville’s Public Safety staff in celebrating its 15th year hosting this event, which surpassed the $1 million total raised in 2015 and continues to grow.

- Good point.
Snooping won’t be limited to call logs, but pictures, texts, notes and social media is all searched throughly.

Have grand ma buy you a Wally Trac Fone with obamaMinutes, put that phone in her or someone else’s name/account.
Don’t store supervisors other po’s #’s in Contacts.
Don’t use Caller ID.
Never Text.
Sure, they’ll find you - if they have a warrant and want to and maybe some more problems could arise, but why make it easy for them?

Seems like a lot of trouble to go through to keep the man out of your pocket, but that’s the Sanctuary we all live in. This is what pro-activeness will get you, and even if you’re not the subject of interest.
Everybody on the subject logs and contacts is eligible to get their mobile confiscated.

Quality time is measured by that safe ride back to the District to make Notifications.
Believe me... the Area can wait.

Stay Fetal

The SDSC rooms citywide are bringing crime down. This is the best tool CPD has by far. Our SDSC room in 015 predicts areas of potential crimes so the bosses can adjust patrols. It even impressed Lemmer.

Not so fast on voting for Preckwinkle

Jamal Green May have endorsed her, but it doesn’t necessarily mean she embraced him

Most of the people that we deemed as less our enemy or even our friend have endorsed Lightfoot

Preckwinkle had a rally today, very very very anti police rhetoric, Bobby rush and several aldermen that don’t like us

They outright said a vote for Lightfoot is a vote for the FOP

Now we all know that Lightfoot is not a vote for the FOP, and It’s safe to say she is not our number one fan

But she is not for chaos like Preckwinkle is, she is a former prosecutor, and it hasn’t always been cops she’s been after

The election is the lesser of two evils, I’m not voting for the one who brought us Kim Foxx, the one who said there’s a special place in hell for Ronald Reagan, the one who said there’s too many brown and black people in jail, the one who brought us the pop tax, the one who if elected will have complete power over the city and county

No thanks

Congratulations on making the dumbest analogy ever. Personal things on your personal phone shouldn't be subject to subpoena just because you also use the phone at work. Allow me to fix your analogy so that it's more accurate. If you use your work pen to write in your diary, make lists of all your family and friends, their phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, make handwritten copies of all your emails and texts, draw pictures of all the photos on your phone, list all the websites you've ever visited, including this blog, write down all the locations you've visited and when exactly you were there, your mobile banking data, etc., then your analogy would make sense. Do you think all that stuff and more should be subject to subpoena, simply because you also use that phone or pen at work? If so, you're dumber than your failed analogy implied. If not, then maybe you understand better now.
