10 Month Old Shot
- A 10-month-old girl was critically wounded Monday morning, when she was shot while riding in the back seat of a car on the Bishop Ford Freeway in the Pullman neighborhood.
Illinois State Police said a car was headed north on I-94 near 115th Street around 11:15 a.m., when the driver heard a gunshot. The driver checked on the infant in the back seat, and saw the baby had been injured.
The driver took the baby to a local hospital, where the baby was listed in critical condition.
Thank goodness Groot can blame the State Police for this one.

- With this latest attack, there have been 65 shootings on Chicago area expressways so far this year, nearly double the number of shootings at the same time last year.

Three groups have partnered to schedule a shutdown of a major interstate in Chicago.
The groups, the Chicago Activist Coalition for Justice, Tikkun-Chai International, and Pilsen-Humboldt Park Anti-Gentrification Group, created a Facebook event called “Black Lives Matter March: SHUT DOWN OUR DAN RYAN.”
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 15, at 12:00pm.
The groups want 25,000 people to attend the shutdown. To date 1,800 people have indicated they plan to attend.

Can we get a follow-up story of what happened at Roseland Hospital? Seems momma and the ‘father‘ brought the shot infant there. Apparently the police had to be called because about 50 relatives descended on the hospital hootin’ & hollerin’ about being admitted inside, work faster on the baby, Covid restrictions, justice for baby-who knows. But the mob that was shown outside Roseland reminded me of the crowds I witnessed on the Sunday, May 31st South-side looting spree that ‘the face of the city’ still hasn’t faced.
It's sad that babies and kids can't travel in cars and just be kids, I'm much of Chicago. Ditto for babies and kids, at home and in parks.
