Tsunami Warnings have been issued, beaches have been evacuated:
A rare 2.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded Wednesday near the north suburbs, United States Geological Survey officials said.
The earthquake happened in Lake Michigan around 2:38 p.m.
USGS officials said the location of the earthquake was about 13.8 miles northeast of Evanston.
Fortunately, no one was injured when Porkulous fell though we did hear that one State Trooper sprained his ankle leaping out of the way.

If he fell down, they would need an industrial strength crane to get him back up again. But, of course, the contractor they hired would only get the job because of clout, DEI etc. So the job would end up costing five times more than usual, take three times as long to complete, the crane would break down half way through the job while ten guys stood around watching/supervising one guy who did all the work. And there better be a large supply of pizzas and Krispy Kremes at the ready for the gov to demolish after such a harrowing ordeal.
