CWB Exposes Corruption
CWB doing some real power-lifting here with this scandal:
Members of Chicago’s primary police oversight commission tried to push one of its own members off the workgroup searching for the city’s next police superintendent, and then fought to keep the paper trail hidden from the public.
An 86-page email chain released last week shows four commissioners working to remove Sandra Wortham from the Superintendent Search Work Group, despite the commission president warning that the effort lacked a clear basis and could look like an attempt to settle an “interpersonal or philosophical disagreement” through a procedural maneuver. The emails also reveal that the majority was fragile from the start. It has since collapsed as one member abandoned the plan entirely.
The Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability originally gave CWB Chicago an almost completely redacted version of the emails. Last week, though, the commission released the full chain less than 48 hours after the Illinois Attorney General’s Office opened an inquiry into its handling of CWB’s FOIA request.
The email chain began July 10, less than a week before Larry Snelling left his post as CPD’s top cop, when CCPSA Vice President Angel Rubi Navarijo sent a lengthy email to commissioners “to respectfully express my concerns regarding Commissioner Sandra Wortham on the Superintendent Search Work Group,” citing concerns about “whether she possesses the collaborative leadership style necessary for this specific responsibility.”
Their complaint against Wortham is that she didn't go along with the other commissioners, that her opinions and positions were too conservative, that she listened to all sides and came to logical conclusions backed up by facts and ::gasp:: established Law and procedures. That she was too "diverse" in her thinking it seems and didn't "go along to get along." Dumbocrats only want followers, not free thinkers. And an intelligent, well-spoken, qualified lawyer isn't someone you'd want giving input on appointing the next political tool.
Seems like the problem is led by this Navarijo, who seems like a complete Karen-asshole that ought to be removed for being a commie bitch.
But that's only our opinion.

She is the most competent non biased member the board has and a breath of fresh air compared to the rotting Democrat political hacks that occupy space.
She is likely the only competent one on the board and a threat to the ineptitude of the leadership of the department and this city. Democrat earn the blame again!
Well, to me it sounds like Ms. Wortham is a very well educated and trained attorney. And that her views are well established by many citizens in the City of Chicago along with members of the City counsel of Chicago. And that these same views are consistent with members of the Chicago Police Department.
It looks like this board does not like Ms. Wortham, because of one or more of the following points. She is a women? She is African American? She was raised on South Side of Chicago? She was raised by an employee of the City of Chicago Police Department? She is the sibling of a Chicago Police Officer? She is a victim of violence, after losing her sibling to gun violence as a Chicago Police Officer? She is a College graduate? She is a graduate with a Juris Doctorate in Law? Or the fact she still Loves the City of Chicago and wants to make this city a better place?
Which one of these points does the board think make her unqualified to be on the board? Or which one of these points makes her such a loose cannon on deck? And making them worry what she may do against the board?
Answer, Leave the young women do her job. As she sees it to be done…..
The absolute best part of the CWB article is they reproduce the actual emails with all the member's email addresses not redacted, which means everyone here can send them emails at their city offices & overwhelm them with extra work!
Lt. Scanlon from Barney Miller would take great pleasure in investigating this. He'd pull out his "always at the ready" notepad and say "now I wanna get to the filth."

I remember being at Christ Hospital the night her brother was brought there in extremely grave condition. The sadness that all of us felt that evening and the look of total despair in Sandra Wotham’s face that evening was gut wrenching. She went on to bigger and better things but stayed true to the CPD. She can do no wrong in my book.
Angel👼 Rubi is currently an office staff member of 48th Ward Alderwoman Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth, a former dancewear apparel shop owner who campaigned as "queer" but is married to a man, has two kids and sure seems to be a regular old straight person (gasp!). It's 2026 and most don't care about gender identity or sexual orientation, but virtue signaling and false-flagging your LGBTQ bonafides is pretty damn low.
Angel Rubi💎 obtained his bachelor's degree just a couple years ago and has the professional experience of exactly one employer, the City of Chicago.
Sandra Wortham is an attorney, a graduate of a HBCU and has vast life experience and professional experience.
But because Leni and Brandon have empowered Angel Rubi as the VP of the CCPSA, he is aiming for Sandra Wortham, the one voice of reality and sense at the CCPSA.
