A Portage Park woman with a history of fraud convictions who kept her dead mother’s body in a freezer for nearly two years so she could continue collecting the woman’s Social Security checks is now facing federal fraud charges.
Eva Bratcher, 73, already received an 18-month state sentence for concealing a death and possessing a fraudulent ID card. Now, federal prosecutors have charged her with embezzlement of public funds and failure to disclose life events, alleging she collected $16,752 in Social Security payments by concealing her mother’s death. The charges are part of a nationwide federal crackdown on fraud.
Kenneth Johnson was stealing money for over twenty years....and he got two years probation.
This woman didn't murder her mom and only chased the checks for two years. What kind of sentence is she looking at?

Headlines and not much work.
My guess is no time, probation and fine.
I'd be more interested if they charged elected officials or high ranking public employees with Covid fraud.

To preserve payments from my bloated six figure sergeants pension I have instructed wife and daughters to do likewise when I kick. Maybe even get a ringer if inquiries arise about my apparent absence. There’s millions of acres in The Great Northwoods to hide the mortal remains of this bitter former rapids sergeant and curmudgeon.

I worked for Ken when he was the WC in 011. He was actually one of the better bosses. I was shocked about what he did. It seemed out of character for him.

Commander Johnson should’ve been in the penitentiary without a doubt he’s a criminal but yet they go after a low hanging fruit. It’s amazing.
Of course he was a nice guy. He was raking in thousands of dollars a year to piss away like the dogass he rally was.

I wonder if Ken Johnson ever worked a job where he had to pay FICA, and if he even accumulated enough quarters to qualify for SS benefits for himself at retirement. Yet the prick stole well into 6 figures from SS. and gets probation. If I did that they would put me under the prison because I’m an unpopular colored jelly bean.
