One of her staff members had a few too many at her promotional party tonight and got a little loose with some gossip. I was an ear shot away. claims that yo-yo wants to get rid of the honor guard because they just dumped (about too?) dump a clouted member. Yo-yo tried to intervene and got her ass handed too her by snelling and now she wants payback. Apparently snelling told yo-yo to sit her ass down and drop it but you know how these entitled merit hacks are. This staffer was talking a whole lot of shit for someone so connected. Of all the battles she wants to pick on her first month, she attacks the honor guard? Talk about tasteless
There's also another rumors making the rounds about a certain....incident....that took place at Yoyo's promotional party. Anyone have the info?

I was a big fan of Larry Snelling until this happened.
I personally boycotted the party...but my sources tell me Yo-Yo wanted to bring her own people in to run things and smelling stopped it. Yo-yo and smelling dont trust the same people and apparently dislike each other. There are always moles in every administration giving information out for the promise of a merit promotion in the future.
12,000+ sworn members and we told the public that Talley is the most qualified on this department? Knowing that every local and amateur media outlet has covered her drug scandal and nephew’s recent shooting incident.

A lot of people seem to be trying to defend snelling in saying she wasn’t his choice.
So if she wasn’t his choice and he had “no choice”, he’s a spineless puppet with no authority over the dept he leads.
Either way, there’s no justification for her being in that spot. But as long as he’s got the title and the check, nothing else matters.

Hey, old retired house mouse C. Howard in 025 never wore a gun, or even qualified each year.
The Honor Guard is one of the last few great things in this department. I know of a few of those guys and they’re classy, stand up guys. Every funeral I’ve attended, they’re standing tall for our fallen brothers and sisters. If they’re bouncing someone, you can bet your bottom dollar it’s for a reason. Clout or not. God bless those guys and gals. Hopefully Talley realizes how important their mission is.
She was his choice…. The Mayor is not a bright fella. If Snelling says I want this he gets it. He is pompous and loves the glorification.
She’s not going to be the next superintendent because the Mayor will not win next election. He wants to make history by electing First Female 1st Deputy. He did it all for media. Look how long it takes him to make any announcements/decisions. His track record speaks for itself.
