As far as the services and the B.S. floating around: There were very valid and honorable reasons for the delay. Mayor and governor were invited as attendees only, no speeches. (Good compromise) Starting the service one hour early was because of timing issues that had nothing to do with CPD, city, or the family. As far as the wake and funeral, it was flawlessly planned and executed by all involved. Streets/route were cleaned, cleared and blocked. Tents were up, water was available.
The only issue was that most of you bums didn't show up for a fallen officer because it was too far, too hard, or too hot or maybe because you have lost sight of what it means to honor our fallen and support each other as brothers and sisters in blue. She made the ultimate sacrifice. The least you could do is show up for her 11 year old daughter. But whatever, lets just bitch about an exempts lack of insignia.

I have been around plenty of gold stars who did not know the General Orders. I was told by one clown commander that general orders are orders for me but only guidelines for him.
I was very happy when the ribbons came about around 1981. At that time we had only a few ; Dept. Commendation, Unit Meritorious award. Now, this has gotten to the point of being just plain silly and these exempts and plenty of non exempts look just plain ridiculous , like some South American Dictator or North Korean General. I would bet that a lot of cops around the country are laughing at this.

And then they gave one to that asshole commander (name escapes me at the moment) for shooting a tree while at his mamas house in 015 on Easter or Mothers Day.

IF you are in a unit awards are never denied (cause when reviewing approval is based on if you are in a unit someone put you there). Just look at all the exempts who are merit and loaded with awards.

One of the sgts calls over to 006 and finds out that they didnāt send anyone because Tate didnāt pass on info to 2nd watch.

I received a knock from police at 1am, it was involved in some type of a chase and they totaled the vehicle on the highway. The offenders were not caught. The casino to this point has been cooperative and Iām hoping they will do what it takes to make this right. Unfortunately, my precious truck is done for.
