Memorial Park Dedicated

A fitting gesture:

  • More than 200 people gathered in Garfield Ridge on Sunday afternoon, a sea of blue — including many wearing “Garfield Ridge Strong” shirts — for the unveiling of a statue in honor of fallen Chicago Police Officer Ella French.

Elizabeth French, Ella’s mother, was brought to tears as she and Officers Carlos Yanez Jr. and Joshua Blas — who were with Ella French the night she was killed — unveiled the statue in Wentworth Park, shortly before the crowd sang “Happy birthday” on what would have been the fallen officer’s 34th birthday.

Elizabeth French said the statue “captured the beauty and essence of Ella” and was “healing.” The statue sits near a dog park bearing the animal-loving officer’s name.

But like any parent who has suffered such a loss: “You’d rather have your child,” she said.

RIP Officer.

R.I.P.
I have been fortunate enough to meet several who knew her.
It is clearly my loss that I was never so fortunate.

And guess who were no shows. No supe push ups no mayor and the head of the park district called the morning of to say he had to cancel. Hes an ex alderman socialist police hater anyways so no big loss. No gold stars except for commander of 008. And leave it up to j kitty to give a speech about the fallen officer and try to make it about himself.

What a dedication to an officer who had her life taken by another criminal that should’ve been in jail in the most corrupt county city state In the nation, a great neighborhood that supports police officers. In this era of people that are defunding police and awry against the police it’s nice to see some politicians and the community taking up the mantle of supporting the hard-working police officers, which is what is needed!

The event was really nice, maybe a total of four Alderman Alder, thieves as we call them, very few other politicians, not even a superintendent of Police or the gold star club was there where were they at? What was more important dedication for an officer? It’s just another reason the Goldstar club or nothing but Pension stealing clowns that we laugh at Respect no way you don’t deserve respect. Idiots! May Ella French RIP, listening to her mother, give that speech at the dedication and her mother by the statue, no matter how tough you are the love of a mother was showing there if it did not draw a tear to your eye then you’re not human.

Again the disrespect of the gold stars, the disrespect of the Illinois state police not sending out people, the disrespect of the cook county sheriffs not showing up and not sending out a contingent of officers. This was well publicized. I’ve talked to some of the politicians that where they are these people were all notified, but yet they could not show up total disrespect for the so-called management of these so-called police organizations.

It sounds like the right people showed up and the losers did not, which should be fine. Who wants a group of disingenuous individuals showing up for their photo-op anyway? The communist in charge of the park district is an unwelcome loser and should be treated as such, good thing he was absent.

I went to donate on line. I was ready to donate $100 and the outfit they use charges $14.95 for a $100 dollar donation. I'm sorry, I'm old school....I can see $2-3 dollars, not $14.95. Do they have an office or somewhere to drop of a check? Please advise....
