It’s unfortunate that these situations so often end up being minimized or brushed aside to protect certain individuals. Accountability should never depend on who’s involved or what circle they belong to. In the end, time has a way of revealing the truth, and when it does, no one can hide behind titles or alliances.

Off topic. Has anyone else heard that OEMC has a sketches of dispatchers? I’m hearing that in some cases one dispatcher is working 2 or 3 zones at a time. No ,I’m making this up. Apparently there is zero repercussions for being a medical abuser or coming in late and when I say late I’m not taking 10-15 lates. Union leadership exists to protect members rights, not to consolidate personal authority or punish dissent. Even the appearance of such conduct damages the Lodge’s credibility and invites internal division and instability.
Potential Legal Exposure and Illegal Conduct Reports referencing outside and federal law enforcement involvement raise serious concerns. No union should find itself the subject of potential criminal inquiry due to the actions of its own leadership. Even prior to the conclusion of any external investigation, the Lodge has a responsibility to act swiftly to protect the organization and its membership from further legal or financial risk.
If Lodge resources were used inappropriately, if records were mishandled, or if statements were made in a manner that misled the membership, such conduct may cross legal boundaries and the Lodge cannot ignore behavior that potentially places members and the institution at risk.
Harm to Members and Damage to Organizational Integrity
The consequences extend far beyond one individual. John’s reported actions have distracted from core Lodge responsibilities such as contract advocacy, legal defense, and workplace support generated internal chaos, accusations, and distrust among officers
Pulled leadership focus away from policing issues affecting districts and membership Exposed the organization to public criticism and reputational harm forced members dues to be spent on legal defense and crisis management rather than officer support
In a profession where trust, discipline, and integrity are paramount, union leadership must model the standards officers are sworn to uphold.
The purpose of disciplinary proceedings is not personal, it is protective. The Lodge must safeguard its mission, membership, and credibility. Based on the evidence, testimony, and reports surrounding this matter, John’s actions constitute a violation of ethical obligations, a breach of trust, and behavior inconsistent with the standards required of Lodge leadership.
For the protection of the organization and in defense of the integrity of the membership, a guilty finding is both justified and necessary.
The Lodge must reaffirm that no individual stands above the principles and values of the organization and that accountability remains the foundation of trust within the Fraternal Order of Police.

How many posts here are by, as Ovid Demaris called them, “kinky cops”, looking to decertify the FOP in favor of the Outfits favorite unit, the Teamsters? The comments here, read in aggregate, all resemble the postings of the same few individuals rehashing the same complaints or unsubstantiated allegations. I’m not defending Cantzara by any means but the allegations made remind me of the saying, “he doth protest too much”.

If FOP President John Catanzara Jr. is found not guilty by his board committee today, I believe the FOP membership should take immediate action by filing a class action lawsuit against him, submitting formal complaints and charges to both the state and national lodges, and ensuring that a full federal investigation is pursued to its completion.

Regarding the attorney who is representing J-Cat at the rate of $425 per hour, I am do not know who is dumber, the people who are trying to sell the convenient lie ($425 per hour) or the people who actually believe that the the rate is $425 per hour and still think that that is too much. No experienced lawyer, especially with federal issues, will charge $425 per hour. For a reputable, experienced, and knowledgeable lawyer, $1,500 per hour is a bargain basement rate. And one hour of work might get billed for 2 or 3 hours, plus fees. But I digress, what is going on with the Triple P Loan Fraud Dispatchers?
