Won't somebody think of the children?!?
A months-long investigation by NBC 5 Investigates has uncovered allegations of grooming and teacher misconduct dating back more than a decade at one Chicago Public School.
As part of our reporting, we interviewed 12 women who graduated from Little Village Lawndale High School between 2009 and 2019. Most of them asked to have their identities be withheld due to the sexual nature of what they allege transpired. Their allegations involve various teachers or administrators - all of whom have resigned or were fired amid allegations of misconduct.
Most of the sexual encounters, they say, happened after they turned 18 or weeks or months after graduation. But others told us it happened while they were still high school students.
NBC 5 Investigates filed multiple Freedom of Information Acts requests - collecting hundreds of pages of teacher personnel and disciplinary files. We also reviewed emails, lawsuits, internal investigative records and conducted interviews with former students, teachers and attempted to talk to the accused or their attorneys.
Keep in mind, this is a single high school. There are something like 160 CPS high schools, including Selective Enrollment, Military Academies, Magnet, Special-Ed, IB, Charter, Technical and neighborhood.
According to one detective we talked to, there are - on average - over 400 complaints annually involving CPS teachers at all levels. Some don't pan out. Many do.
We've also heard of tens of dozens of teachers being paid who aren't allowed anywhere near a classroom due to allegations. It dwarfs the allegations leveled against the Archdiocese in years past, but for some reason, never attracts the same attention. So why has NBC gotten the green light to report this?

This was one of Catanzara's promises when he was elected. He said he was going to expose the reports and how CPS was covering up allegations and protecting these predators. Unfortunately he never followed through.
Right now the Democrats are writing 3 people off: conehead, fritz the assessor and the dui queen....
This is ABSOLUTE PROOF that the Leftist media has power to cover up the truth.
Remember when the news thought officers from 010 were doing something with migrants. They dam near sent out the National Guard. IAD and COPA were all over it. Teachers and other School Employees having sex with kids doesn’t get much attention. I’m just speechless.
So why has NBC gotten the green light to report this?
Because they're still trying to figure out a way to blame DJT for all this evilness.
Let's unpack this.
1. This investigation is over 3 years old and in-going. Why do CPS Investigations take 3-4 years to complete? Can you imagine the uproar is a CPD taking this long?
2. Another CPS Investigation took 4+ years and the investigation involved the CPS Chief Title IX Officer/ Office of Student Protections Camie Pratt. Pratt was given a DNH designation for doing an 'off-the-books' investigation into Lincoln Park Girls Basketball and her daughter being text'd/emailed drills and training tips by her coach. Pratt lied several times to CPS investigators and the CPS OIG William Fletcher and this took place at nearly as the sexual investigation that cost their principal and vice principal their jobs and each were given a DNH designation since removed by CPS CEO Pedro Martines.
3. These grooming accusations date back to 2017, so why wasn't any Little Village HS employee investigated sooner and permanently DNH'd, especially as an investigation right away would seemingly thwart any other grooming incidents?
4. There's enough blame to go around here. Obviously CPS and their OIG Fletcher is partly to blame. Fletcher ran for the hills drom CPS last August after a FOUR year investigation into Pratt where the last interview in that case was in 2022 and Pratt was never removed from her position like most CPS employees. Pratt continued to be paid her $210K+ salary and tainted other Investigations taking place over the 4 years, including the Little Village HS grooming case.
Blame is on ISBE for not marking each certified employee as having their ISBE certifications suspended then Elgin School District U46 or any other districts couldn't hire the groomers on CPS temporary DNH list and suspended by CPS.
And, blame is on Elgin School District U46 for not properly vetting the Little Village HS employees they hired while they were on the temporary DNH list. My guess is these employees were waived in by someone at U46 and their employee applications had blank boxes by where it's asked their reason for leaving CPS.
5. Keep these names in mind when other CPS Investigations pop up again, they are: William Fletcher and Camie Pratt. Fletcher was initially involved as the Chicago Park District IG when their lifeguard sexual assault and hazing investigation, then he left that office to be the CPS OIG replacing Nick Schuler (former CPD detective).
What law firm did Fletchet once work for? If you said Jenner & Block, you win a sour lemon-flavored Italian Ice from Jay's on Taylor St. And even more sour is former CPS president Forrest Claypool and his sidekick and CPS counsel Ron Marmer both worked for J&B and later resigned from CPS for an ethics investigation in their part in a CPS investigation involving J&B.
Pratt has been admonished by several judges and arbitrators for testifying and lying in multiple CPS employee dismissal hearings to appease her bosses (Joseph Moriarty and Ruchi Verma) in CPS Law. Pratt was lying to help CPS Law cases that were weak in nature and Pratt testified on policy and no factual evidence on what each employee supposedly did in each incident

Politicians don't want to see anything because if they do they don't get any donations from CTU.
A few years ago the Sun times had a report on the cost of misconduct. CPS paid out more in misconduct than CPD in a ten year period. I have not been able to find the article but I believe it was reported on the blog. Also if you want to check out scandals look into the Buffalo, NY public school system and what Angry Cops and the Unsubscribe Podcast is uncovering. Also very disturbing and understand/ don’t understand why this does not ever gain any traction in the media.

Take this with a grain of salt, but a teacher told me years ago there's a whole floor of tenured teachers just sitting at Carroll St. every day who can't be around kids and can't be fired until all the investigations are done. And that the cloistered cluster of perverts usually hit retirement eligibility before the internal investigations ever come close to wrapping up.
Some quality sit down time in the big house would be a great start
Have a son at a CPS HS on the northwest side. Son told me this week one of the male wrestling coaches was fired for having inappropriate relations with female students. School never sent an email to parents. Will be contacting the principal this Tuesday. So yes. This is happening more than being reported
And nothing will be done about it. Nothing. No Hollywood movies or Netflix docs made about these public school sexual abuse scandals. No celebs or TicTok influencers crying about the children getting cornholed. Let's face it...the only reason NBC is reporting this story is because some television executive is sending their kids to Walter Payton College Prep or some other magnet CPS school and they're anxious about what they heard about some of the staff.

The Chicago Public Schools have their own investigation unit to protect the schools from lawsuits. Just like the CPD’s BIA / IAD. They are more interested in covering up internal things than getting to the bottom of things. The whole thing gets me sick. The only time either of them do anything is when it won’t come back to harm their employer’s.
Disband this in house cover up investigatory bodies. They are helping the offenders get away with crimes and ruining people’s lives.
And it was proven the officers had no involvement with any migrants. The cleaning staff did and they are employed by a city contractor.
No the investigating body is there to protect the city from lawsuits. So they try to sweep everything under the rug.
A LIB acquaintance of mine claims most schoolteacher are gay as her and her daughter, grandchildren all go to "a welcoming (Episcopal) church" with the gay choir director celebration him & his husband or the other choir members: "her & her wife" ---former Catholics. Glad for the parenting I had.

As a Detective i learned the following about CPS.
they will protect their system at all costs. even if it means sacrificing teacher safety.
they will stymie, thwart, and attempt to stall any criminal investigation.
they refuse to cooperate with Police. won't let you in the school and defer to their law dept.
the communists have a stronghold on system.
they don't want smart kids, they want to develop political soldiers.

THIS IS CORRECT
Check the CPS Position Files for teachers and administrators on paid suspension listed as City Wide Education General.
There are also teachers given Golden Tickets to sub and get teacher pay for the rest of the careers listed as City Wide Education General. All are making $110K+ and regular teacher benefits. These teachers last taught at Lincoln Park HS, Morgan Park HS, Senn HS, Clemente HS, and a couple other schools 12 years ago. So, for the last 12+ years these Golden Ticket winners have been making teacher pay and benefits to sub. There's been anywhere from the current 1108 teacher openings to a high of 1800+ and these GT winners can't find a regular teaching position?
Also, two former CTU employees, Jesse Sharkey (resigned as CTU president) and Joseph McDermott (fired by the CTU) are Golden Ticket winners.

Who was the Park District IG when their sexual abuse scandal was initially investigated and then involved as the CPS OIG in the Little Village HS grooming scandal that's still being investigated in its third year?

I call bullshit on that. Father Norbert Mayday raped/molested hundreds of kids. The church moved him a half dozen times. After he was arrested, the church spent its parishioners funds on his defense. They tried everything they could to get him freed.
The new pope was obviously aware of Father Mayday’s hobbies. He hasn’t mentioned any changes to policy so I am guessing that kids will still be getting raped.

I was asked to find an old Chicago murder/rape case that may have had a link to that priest who was convicted of murdering the beauty Queen in Texas. Turns out, that priest had been accused prior to Chicago stint of molesting young female congregants. The church policy? They’d remove them from the place of allegation to another place with the basic words of wisdom to “fight the urge” in the new place. I’m sure the CPS policy isn’t much different.
There’s a special Ed teachers who is charged with agg bat to child. She can’t be around children but am has been sitting home - paid - for over a year. If there’s any justice in the world, she’ll be spending time on IDOC
Majority of the Golden Ticket winners are all malcontents and grievance filers that wouldn't listen to their principals, and they were cut and the teachers won a settlement for wrongful termination and given the GTs.
