Feed the Animals

This has nothing to do with police work, but it amused us nonetheless - you'll see why in a moment:

  • Hold your horses. A Danish woman donated her daughter’s pet pony to a zoo in Denmark — so it could be eaten by lions.

Pernille Sohl reportedly gifted her teenage daughter Angelina’s German riding pony, Chicago 57, to the Aalborg Zoo in the country’s northern region. Zookeepers have said they’re hoping to mimic the natural food chain of predators by feeding them smaller donated pets.

“It might sound very dramatic and bizarre that you would feed your pet to animals in the zoo,” Sohl, 44, told the Times UK. “But they are going to be put down anyway and it is not like they are alive when they are given to the predators.”

That's right - the pet pony was named "Chicago 57," and after being put down, was given to the lions to scavenge. That just amused us.

There's an allegory in there somewhere.

UPDATE: Comment of the Day so far:

  • So when will the Pony be home from its trip to the zoo Uncle Lar?
Well, Littile Tommy, I'm afraid the pony will be staying for dinner at the zoo tonight.

There’s plenty of two legged animals in Chicago that you could feed to those lions and you wouldn’t even have to put them down first. Maybe Trump could help arrange a flight full of them by telling them they won a free trip to Denmark, lol

Wonder if that teen aged daughter will be donating moma's corpse when the time arrives. Seems very likely to be less costly then any other method.

The name is amusing, nothing else. So how about if it was a very old police dog that needed to be put down? Sohl said the decision was made out of respect for the natural cycle. How about this part, Aalborg Zoo has asked for donations of “a healthy animal that needs to be given away for various reasons” — including guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens — to be “gently euthanized” before being used as a meal. Sure why try and find them a good home, just kill them instead. I'm sure they would take dogs too. "Wanting to give meaning to her pony’s death, Angelina decided to allow Chicago 57 to be donated to the zoo, saying she wanted him “to follow the food chain” and benefit other animals." Sohl, who runs a small farm in Assens where children with mental health challenges spend time with horses". Loony bitch, like mother, like daughter. Meanwhile migrants... well you know how they are. For those that think this is odd and barbaric: this happens often especially in animal sanctuaries here in the US and abroad. It cost a lot of money when a farm animal dies to move it and bury or cremate a 2000-3000 pound animal. Even a beloved companion animal goes back into the food chain. I wouldn't mind if some of the gangbangers who get unalived had their bodies donated to the big cat house in Brookfield Zoo.

It would be epic if Chicago 57 was given to a pack of hyenas! That is right on the mark.

My father-in-laws bell cow got hit by lightning out in the field. He paid some mink farmers to come and chop it up to feed the minks.

Even a hyena wouldn't eat a Chicago Alderman. Their meat is totally rotten, dead or alive.

People eat Horse Meat in France, as well as in Quebec.
Question for the Keesing Bandit: Would you recommend one of your World- famous white wine spritzers to go with Horse Meat the next time I am in France?

Well Poindexter, American buffalo are being raised on ranches more and more.Texas longhorns weigh in over 2000-pounds. (Water buffalo in Africa and Asia come in at 2-3 thousand hence why I said farm animals abroad). I'm not gonna guess how much your girlfriend weighs though...I don't want to be rude.
