According to FOP Lodge 7 Constitution and By Laws dated and revised on September 21, 2022, there is a section in regards to Duties And Obilgations.
Article II - Duties And Obligations
Section 1. States “….he or she shall be subject to discipline for any action, inaction or omission which constitutes a violation of his or her duties and obligations as stated in this Constitution and By-Laws….”
Section 2. Any member may be disciplined for committing any one or more of the following offenses.
(d) Causing or attempting to cause withdrawal or succession of this or any other Subordinate Lodge from The State or Grand Lodge;….

The f.o.p board is guilty 4 allowing it. reps know about it and are silent as well, except during gossip time. comments are becoming more frequent bringing it to light

Great, they can add this to the one that's coming down from another state. Johnny decided to call the President of another Lodge to bash a member that transferred from Lodge 7 to his. Unbeknownst to John, this president actually respects his members and treats them fairly and Johnny was on speakerphone, with other members listening. Not very fraternal.

Ultimately the city decided to rehire people. The FOP agreed to it too and is doing a bad job advocating for people. Instead it’s like they wanna punish people wanting something different or being “disloyal”… it’s weird.
Wrong. That was never part of the agreement. Read the agreement then speak. Cops were only supposed to lose seniority for bidding, but keep their service time for testing, pay, and vacation. No different than those who took LOA. But, it sounds like you're just one of the haters that hate people who had the opportunity to try something different. Not everyone left the job to go to another PD. Some left for covid and other family reasons.
My brother was stripped for Covid and there were two different zoom meetings when they were coming back . My brother was not invited to the meeting and the second meeting he pushed the camera so Catanzara’s could see him . Catanzara’s response to him was “what are you in this meeting for ? “
My brothers response was “ I’m stripped for Covid .” Catanzara then went on and argued with him telling he was not . Either it was on purpose he didn’t know or he’s just incompetent . This guy is never at work and isn’t allowed above the 1st floor at headquarters . He retired without credentials and spends more money than any other president in the history of the Fop .

So Martin Prieb, aka the librarian, has brought Charges against J-Cat. This twice failed FOP presidential candidate is trying to make a name for himself by bringing these charges. Marty is as useless as Graham was. Marty has written a book He got caught paying for his ghost writer with FOP funds and he should have been charged with theift. He was forced to pay the lodge back.
Unfortunately for the librarian J-Cat was recorded at both the board and general meetings this satiating lodge 7 is not leaving the FOP. But this may force J-Cat to stay in his lane.
Kevin Graham, the Illinois Governor’s body double, is in the wings ready in case the National FOP wants to remove J-CAT.

History of FOP leadership: In the beginning they were the organization for the traffic division. They won the playoff between C.O.P. and the Teamsters. Every president has made a deal with city hall, or so it seems, to piss & moan and then fold. Jane Byrne gave us the first contract; she loved the police.
Looks like John is a bit more into himself and may have delusions of grandeur about leading a multi-jurisdictional union. Even if that was not a violation of the by-laws, he still has to fight with the state legislature and Fatass. Maybe looking for a statewide position deal??? Just a thought.

I am one of the individuals who went into NO PAY status for a few months losing several thousands, my health insurance and more importantly my sanity and peace prior to being stripped. They ultimately wanted to put CR's on people for everything under the sun and they said the punishment was "termination" for everyone past 35 days agreeing with that cocksucker Rommell. The FOP, the city, the lawyers and the God damn fools who believed we deserved this shit I hope they get an absolute cancer. We held the line and we lost a lot. I resigned losing a lot of money, my seniority, time, lost my lady, and I had to jump couch to couch for a while unemployed. I knew people who killed themselves due to this covid bs, oh so how many people in CPD forget of the problems COVID did to us. I hope people that truly think people like myself who tried to rejoin are seen as "quitters/undesirable/losers etc" as well get a ten-fold no pay status. I know at the end of the day once the city settles with people like me I will be able to look into a second home with the payout and I can move on in life thankfully.

The last sergeants promotional test was in 2005 and the next part one was in 2013. So sit down and get some time on the job. Next, time when you leave the department take the naperville sergeants test or don't come back. Also, I knew person who left cpd for health reasons and had reapply and graduate from the academy twice.
