Good Job Officer

Never much good news about cops just doing their jobs, day in and day out....but no doubt, some people are thankful:

  • Air and water show. CPD officer Spotted this elderly lady have difficulty walking . Took the time to help her to her daughter’s car.  Wish the media would show more of this

Sometimes, it's the little things.

NICE act of kindness, it could have been my grandma, thank you officer. You just never know who officers are helping and the positIve affect we have in our community even in the HOOD. When I was on the job some guy went through the red light, I pulled him over and he said he was sorry that he was running late for work. I cut him a break and he went on his way. Years later he becomes a crucial witness for the defense, my defense from a frivolous lawsuit against me. Now, imagen if I would have been a jerk to him for blowing the red light?

Coming back after dropping kids, Michigan and Wacker, police activity around 6. Protestor I think. I think you need a little help with you traffic signaling, four cops and each one telling me a different thing. But, stop letting them interrupt people's lives to begin with, they have no right to block traffic.

If he let her walk to a car on her own it would end up with an RD# for a crime. The pathetic thing is that there needed to be a notification over the air for an event # and BWC needed to be activated.

This act of kindness is not newsworthy as it does not fit the narrative of the corrupt media whores selling the police are a negative factor in shitty city. Remember Conehead and the Democrat Socialist/Communist tell us crime is down, just like Washington DC. He who counts the numbers provides the statistics they want/need to sell their propaganda. And in this broken city they count the numbers whether its crime, voting or the budget. It's their numbers and their numbers are the only thing that counts.

The officer in the photo is a Detective. The woman fell and hit her head and face. Got pretty banged up. Detective and officers waited with the family while CFD checked her, then waited with the woman and kids until the daughter could pull the car up to get her. Well done Det V, all good deeds don’t go unnoticed.

You never know how you touch people. I hope the Officer never has a blot on his record ever, because any kindnesses will be forgotten. I know this is old, but the Chicago Tribune had a picture (on page one) with barricades in the street of a dog sitting there in the street. The dog could not understand the old dog (dead) just lying there in the street. That picture told you of man's best friend. True loyalty.
Officers are people too, in case the "Almighty" press has forgotten.

As each of you are reading this, at this very moment, somewhere in America a police officer is involved in a dangerous or life threatening situation or is merely assisting a citizen to safety in a personal interaction.
As SCC has indicated, you'll hardly ever see these acts of everyday 'serving and protecting' in the media.
I offer my thanks to my fellow 'first responders,' one and all, as I remain proud to have served for four decades with some of the 'finest' members ever to wear that star, in the "Greatest Fraternity on Earth."
May God Bless and keep you safe.

Wow. An exhilarating story. You mopes just can’t help yourselves. 99.99% of coverage of chicago cops is extremely negative, SCC posts a nice story about a cop helping an elderly woman, and you still complain because there was one time traffic was messed up for a few seconds somewhere in the city. And protesters are allowed to do that because the politicians demand it be allowed, and if we cleared them out, you’d be the first one crying crocodile tears about how mean we were to them. The citizens of this city/county are fucking insufferable. We aren’t allowed to chase after criminals in car or even on foot, have 15 layers of oversight waiting to jam us up, robberies and murders galore, but we need more training on traffic control. It’s people like you that make me believe we need far more abortions. You’re such a joke.

Seemingly small acts of decency by law enforcement officers, including those not readily noticed even by those decent denizens of our city does, establish a somewhat counter balancing to the all too visible little petty activities police are directed to engage in for the primary purpose of collecting revenues for the asshole politicals wantonly spending said revenues thus collected upon their grifter, scheming scammer purposes.

Some have said that the response to being impeded/restricted from enforcing these petty, pocket picking rules upon the riff raff elements of our city/county should be enforcing said shit rules upon all.

This is throwing out the baby with the bath water.

Instead, do not enforce said rules upon anyone.

Cut off the pocket picking flow of cash gleaned from those not of riff riff quality, veried by their own activities, and, at the same time, do not impede the politicals' riff raff minions' activities, thus exposing to all just how clearly the differences are between the two.

This will be much more effective at authentically waking up the non riff raff population to just how demented these polticals are determined to be.

Escaped and moved to a suburb of Houston. The second fastest growing city in the country. The developers are grabbing all of the land and putting homes on them. A seven thousand home development is being built right down the street from me. The roads, which were once two lane farm roads are being widened to accommodate new residents. We were sitting on traffic which was a little slow due to the work being done. A few of our local police officers ran by us chasing a calf that had gotten out of its ranch. They caught the little guy and walked him back to his mom who was waiting by the fence. Job well done. Nice to see police chasing something other than the usual suspects...
