This job has become like high school with badges.

I hate to say it but blue on blue is the new normal. This case has a lot going on but, even little stuff has officers putting numbers on each other. Bad policy and bad bosses escalated this new normal.
This was nothing more than a half-assed attempt at damage control right out of the Ghetto Playbook - generate paper on each other hoping one holds more weight.
Dummy made this report trying to be slick and then realized the lies he spun for the reporting officer(s) wouldn’t quite match what surveillance captured. Hence his “act of furtherance” in the attempt to cover up his fuck up.
Time to tack on that Rule 14 for False Report, Snelling!
Sounds like the girlfriend’s mom is a smart woman and knows his character. Lots of cameras in that bar….
