Court Reopening?

Rumor from a reader:

  • Serious talks underway to reopen the courtrooms at Belmont and Western

The last time they used the building for anything court related was as a "processing site" for mass arrests at the DNC.

Who's got the scoop?

Another interesting thing that is happening. Apparently the city council is considering not assigning any parking complaints to officers in the field. They will become the responsibility of the revenue department.

Good. Can they come hit my alley every night then, have to squeeze around at least 3 illegally parked cars every time I work late (010).

Good! There's no reason victims and witnesses should have to travel long distances for court. So many cases SOL'd because of this.

I actually got married in Branch 29 over 32 years ago by Judge Kowalski. We were in open court, two Cops with their best friends and all the cast of characters to be found in misdemeanor court. Judge Kowalski said that as a misdemeanor Judge he was never able to give a life sentence until that day. We are still going strong and now retired with grown kids and grandchildren. It’s been a great life.

Off Topic, wanted to Thank the crew of M7 for our rescue last Saturday. We were involved in a scary incident on the Lake, the Crew could not have been better. I know Police Officers don’t hear the words Thank You much today but I am so appreciative for everything You all do. Now as a retired Police Officer I can say that I pray for the people in every squad I pass. I also slow down to make sure you are ok, because if you ever need help I will go Old School CPD for you. God Bless the Chicago Police Department.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is making 600 military lawyers available to the DOJ to become immigration judges. The Karens are bitching about due Process for poor MS-13 gang bangers, well, they are going to get it, at warp speed.
