We Want Some Answers, Too
As long as someone is asking the right questions:
Parents and their advocates say the immigration arrest of Diana Patricia Santillana Galeano, a day care teacher at Rayito de Sol Spanish Immersion Early Learning Center, has shattered their sense of safety, and they’re demanding answers.
Protesters gathered Thursday for a news conference organized by SEIU Healthcare Illinois, outside Reliance Relocation Services, 161 N. Clark Street, a real estate company that was awarded $7.8 million over five contracts in 2024 to relocate employees with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The group called for transparency from the federal government and an end to immigration operations at child care centers and higher education institutions.
Um....why would anyone call for an end to immigration enforcement?
Shouldn't people be asking other more pertinent questions?
- where are all these ILLEGAL ALIEN workers coming from?
- how are ILLEGAL ALIENS getting hired?
- who is doing the background checks?
- what Social Security numbers are being used?
- are proper tax payments being rendered to the government?
- are there illegal document factories supplying fake credentials?
Quigley (D-ILLEGAL ALIEN) is eager to make sure someone who (A) fled a traffic stop, (B) committing numerous traffic violations along the way, (C) endangering the lives of countless passers-by, and (D) hiding in a school after a foot pursuit is more important than the following actual Rule of Law.
Oh,, and it turns out that this particular ILLEGAL ALIEN (with likely forged documents) had her children smuggled into the United States a short while ago, most likely for the purpose of making it more difficult (politically speaking) to deport her when apprehended.

Over 35 years ago, I’m old, I was just starting out in life and one of my jobs was working at a very nice restaurant. We’d sit and have conversations with the kitchen staff during our meal breaks. One bus boy, disappeared and reappeared about 4 months later. Seems he got caught up in selling “documents” to others & he didn’t say it directly but I understood it to be that he was deported. Somehow, it wasn’t that difficult for him to get back & start working again. Ditto for a huge commercial landscape company my mom worked at the time. Almost all these employers look the other way on questionable papers, if not flat out direct illegals where to go for the documents they need to employ them. They very much thrive on the cheap labor.

Have a CDA certificate.
Have a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in education or related field (equivalent experience considered).

Must have current and/or updated first-aid and CPR certification.
Must be able to fluently read, write, and understand English and Spanish.
Must have proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
*Maybe I’m a skeptic but I’ll go out on a limb and say probably none of these were filled.

My understanding is that the illegal immigrants foisted upon the taxpayers by the Biden administration were given parole, and parole allows them to get jobs, have social security numbers (which in many states, allows them to have driver's licenses and to VOTE!), and to pay taxes. As far as background checks go, they're practically nonexistent. Most illegal immigrants remain unvetted. Should people interfere with ICE? No of course not. But we also shouldn’t believe what they put out. They’ve been proven to be lying on the reports they put out, caught lying in the shooting they had here, destroy evidence, and are hot heads who disrespect local police when they get DUIs.
Dan Proft, on his radio podcast, Chicago's Morning Answer am560 from Thursday 7 Nov 25, had some insightful commentary on ICE's poor communications on what ICE is doing versus the message of the illegal advocates and politicians are saying. It's about 15 minutes long at the beginning of the show. "ICE's Communications Issue".
I agree with Ken Griffin. I would move to Florida but at present, tied up with family matters in the area. One thing we don't do is go into Chicago for entertainment, dining etc. All money is spent in the far northern suburbs.
The teachers and especially the politicians should be wearing cameras. It might wake up some of the low information voters.
