As of 0800 hours on Sunday, HeyJackass.com had one of those rare occurrences up on their website:

It was looking like even the mere threat of deploying National Guard and military troops to Chicago was enough to keep criminals from actually accomplishing a murder all weekend.
A 5-year-old boy was fatally shot Sunday afternoon inside a Kenwood apartment.
The boy was shot in the head about 1:15 p.m., while inside the home in the 4400 block of South Greenwood Avenue, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead, according to Chicago police.
A firearm was recovered at the scene, police said. Officials did not release any other details Sunday about the shooting.
Of course, in the spirit of lying about crime numbers, we're sure the brass is working on labeling this on "accidental" or something so as to avoid a murder statistic.
UPDATE: Will this one get added to the numbers or will the CompStat people hide it as usual?
A man accused of barreling a Chevy Equinox into a five-star Mag Mile hotel at nearly 85 mph, killing his back-seat passenger, has been ordered detained on felony charges.
John Walker, 40, was arrested this week after Chicago police determined he sped through red lights and stop signs across Streeterville in the early morning hours of April 19, ending in a crash that left 40-year-old Emmanuel Carter dead.
He's charged with Reckless Homicide and Agg DUI, so you think it would appear in the homicide numbers.

Well the brass don’t need to be involved in this one. It was accidental and the scene was horrible. Kid found a gun, the owner of the gun had a FOID and CCL and the kid found it and accidentally shot himself. It was pretty brutal. So no, this one was not a murder, but tragic for sure.
Mayor to thugs: "Cool it for a few weeks, guys. I can't help you if the feds arrive."
An innocent kid is killed.
Where is the outrage from elected officials?

The values of many of the formerly trusted 'numbers', in a variety of categories, have been so diminished by the liars that lie that, doubting their worth has now become the standard.
And, when there is doubt, there is no doubt that something ain't right enough to not be wrong.

This is proof the city is finished when you have to distort crime numbers. This city is out of control and no one wants to say it is.
All they have to is review arrest reports charging Battery and Theft.. That's all the Armed Robbery disappeared. LoL
Then you have clowns on X like @scannerchi, telling followers if you don't live here don't talk about how bad crime is because it's down. If you post that, make sure Chicagoans don't see that post because it's bullshit.

But I blame the Democrats for their anti-gun narrative. Time was we taught kids about firearms and this shit didn't happen.

Close but no cigar. I was also dismayed to see no murders in the middle of Sunday, but thankfully the mayors people came thru and got to 3 murders.
