California Police Under Fire

An article pointed out to us by a reader in National Review (one of the finest Conservative publications ever if we do say so ourselves). Jack Dunphy is the name an LAPD Officer uses when he writes for publication - not unlike certain other people we know.

In any case, an excellent article.

Definately "food for thought." In any case, when a officer is buried and all the pomp and cicumstance is over no one cares but us (P.O's)and no one remembers but us. God bless and stay safe.

Great read. A somber reminder of what's out there. Remember, 'routine' should not be in a police officer's lexicon.

Hmmmm! There was 12,000 Iraqui Police Officers killed last year.
I wonder how this country and Police Departments in America across the nation would react if that happen here. I always thought it to be kind of weird how some down play the death of people by comparisons

People aren't afraid of the police anymore. The liberals, lawyers, reverands and ACLU have succeeded in neutering us.

Until there is that healthy fear of getting fucked up and/or killed, the number of attacks on us will continue to rise.

Stay safe at all costs.

The Iraqi Police are deeply involved in sectarian violence. The highest IED pucker factor while on patrol occurs when approaching Iraqi Police checkpoints. Police stations and recruiting centers are routinely attacked by other groups as part of sectarian violence, not because of collaboration issues.

there are probably only 3 legitamite CONSERVATIVE publications out there ... I know one of which is The American Conservative magazine. Read it to find out about real conservatism. The Nat'l Review, The New Republic, etc. and that ilk are all scams....really

An excellent article. Thanks for putting it on the site. We have been very, very lucky here in Chicago the last few years, and it is certainly not because of anything that this department has done. Pray that our luck continues.

"BROTHERS!" [generic, all-inclusive term]

WE owe it to all our 'brothers' to show our support to the surviving family members of all that made the "Ultimate Sacrifice" by keeping them in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. OUR outward show of support is our participation and attendance in the various memorials honoring our lost 'brothers.'
Washington D.C. National Memorial honors 'all' past and present members that lost their lives in the line of duty. {May 13-16} during "Police Week" Check with FOP for local CPD details. The 'National' site is available under a Google Search..."NLEOMF"
IF time, funds, family preclude your participation, honor OUR fallen at OUR CPD Memorial in May, the St. Jude March, or a simple prayer in whatever manner or religion that you chose.

All Gave Some Because Some Gave All

Stay safe my 'brothers' and remember our Thin Blue Line!

great article!
why doesn't this kind of stuff get shown on the news? Instead ABC, CBS and NBC news at ten would rather show some dog ass gangbanger's who got killed by the police mother crying and saying what a good boy and straight A student he was. I am sad for those officers and their families.

You all must become black belts in verbal judo. Master it and you need no gun.
