Prosser Academy got trolled - hard. Seems the principal is retired (retired?) and they have a "thank you" type page up for messages from parent. This letter is up on the website today:

This bozo was arrested a few months ago in 011 from polk/California for being aggressive towards police after starting protests over a police shooting.

IIRC, he also got into it with one of the school officers at Prosser a few years ago. He thought he could tell Roger what to do, how to be the Police. Wrong.
Prosser's former principal Kenneth Hunter was always up to something shady and had protection under the Daley Administration. But, when Rahm took office and named David Vitale as School Board president, happy days were over for Hunter, including the building of the Noble Street Charter School (IFW Speer Academy HS) directly across the street from Prosser.
Also, Hunter got a Warning Resolution from CPS in January, 2013 for something he was up to or did. (A warning resolution is the first step in CPS' long process of firing an employee.)

Hunter most recently was outed by DNAInfo/Chicago in May, 2014 for having his teachers 'game' a University Chicago Study which made him and the school seem better than reality. There were astronomic jumps in the survey with the same staff from the year before and Hunter's numbers doubled.

Hunter went LOA last Christmas break and he never returned.
Nobody is really sure why he went on LOA and now retired. But, Hunter is tied in with the Turkish-led Gulen Movement which is connected with the Concept Charter Schools are under investigation by the FBI.
In fact, Hunter is listed as an executive producer for the Gulen Movement's backed 'Love is a Verb' movie. A movie about their leader Fethullah Gulen.

Here's an excerpt from a post which was made on this blog I August, 2014 about LSC's and Prosser:
"LSC's can be both good and bad. Good as the LSC can get a rid of principal who isn't doing the job.
Bad if the principal stacks the LSC with his own people, challenges/gets removed outsiders who win a position on the LSC, and he/she can stay as principal as long as they want without the school showing any legitimate improvements. And, since the principal controls the building usage and the hiring of certified (teachers, APs, counselors) non-certified staff (janitors, security, clerks, engineers), he/she can run a nice 'barely legal' fiefdom.
Case in point is the oft-mentioned principal of Prosser Career Academy High School Kenneth Hunter on this blog.
Hunter has run a underachieving and corrupt school for ten years without any noticeable improvements and not coming close to meeting any state standards. And, how does he continue to stay in command? It's because he loads the Prosser LSC, who vote on principal contract renewals, with his people. One noteworthy LSC Prosser LSC member is Ald. Patrick O'Connor's chief of staff, Tim Czarnecki.

The most tragic aspect of it is that WE are paying for this corruption! And as for "The Children", Rahm's kids are in the University of Chicago Lab School, as were Obama's. These great Men of the People would never let their kids attend shitholes like our Public Schools.

I am assigned to the academy. I am responsible for overseeing the quality and design of the training. Most of the instructors do a stellar job. We do have the rotten apples. We have some complete retards. These people make it pretty hard for the academy to deliver high quality training.
A firearms instructor was recently suspended for discharging firearms while on a boat. The instructor admitted that he would not have passed a breathalyzer test.
During the instructors defense, the instructor argued that the General Orders did not prohibit the discharge of firearms.
This means that the instructor did not understand what he was supposed to be teaching.
We have some real retards on the job. It is fortunate that most of the instructors at the academy have high aptitude and advanced degrees.
The lesson from these stories is do not drink, drive (including boating), and discharge firearms. Those three things do not mix too well.
Remember that we teach ethics too. Do the right thing.

Above all else, no one from the academy is that stupid and retarded to go boating, drinking, discharging firearms, and arguing that he is allowed to discharge firearms.
Do not take the bait. One incident (the stripped guy) is hard enough to belief but two of the same incidents will never happen especially involving an instructor at the academy.

It turns out that the above story is true. There is a firearms instructor at the academy who got suspended for discharging firearms.
When the MP Officer hits the academy it will be a marriage made in heaven. They can both go boating, drinking, and discharging firearms.
Will the stripped CPD officer suffer a suspension or a discharge? If the instructor from the academy was not fired, then should the stripped CPD Officer be fired?
It is time to clean out the academy and put in new personnel, highly trained.

Prosser used to be a good school(1). Back in the 1970's they had a Sheetmetal Shop Course that might have been the best in the city. Only surpassed by the Washburn Trade School were apprentices went to learn.
The HVAC Contractor I worked at back then hired three of their graduates. They all started out in our Engineering Dept as Draftsman Trainees. They then got into Sheetmetal Local 73 and became 'Tinners'.
But they didn't stop at just being Union Members. One guy, Don, became the company's Shop Superintendent, another, George, became a Sr Project Manager, and the last fella, Bob, became the company's Chief Draftsman (I was Bob's Mentor). All of that from a Chicago Public High School education.
I doubt that many CPS HS Grads of today could come close to doing what 'we' accomplished.
(1) then again, most all Chicago Public High Schools used to be good.

What is the Local School Council (LSC) role in principal selection?
At most CPS schools, the LSC is responsible for hiring and evaluating the school's contract principal. An LSC is made up of parents, community members, teachers, a non-teaching school employee (ESP) and the school's sitting principal. Most LSCs have a multi-step selection process, which may include resume review, one to three rounds of interviews and a final round "Candidate Forum". During a Candidate Forum, the community has an opportunity to ask questions of each finalist in an open meeting format.

CVS used to have a kick ass auto shop, and an airplane in a hanger.
Schooling this generation in these trades, and those you mentioned, are long gone.
Most kids of that era went to 'Nam, and learned other "trades".

One thing which needs to be investigated at Prosser is how administrative salaries are being doled out at a school which hasn't met their state standards in the last 10+ years.
Currently, Prosser has an acting principal (Linda Pierzchlaski, retired principal at Bogan HS) who's drawing both her $126,605 (2013) pension (plus Medicare, not included) and a principal salary of $162,760 + $46,391 in benefits for a total compensation of $209,151.
So, city of Chicago taxpayers are on the hook for $209,151 + $126,605 (her pension) = $335,756
$335,756 compensation to one person for her salary and pension? If this isn't double dipping I don't know what is.

$343K + $93,708 (total medical and pension benefits for the three APs)
= $437,644 (salary/benefits to THREE APs at Prosser)
$437,644 + $335,756 (Pierzchalski's total compensation)
= $773,400 for administrative salaries and compensation at Prosser.
During the 2013-14 school year, Prosser has 1-Principal and 2-APs.
And, in the 2012-13 school year, Prosser had 1-Principal and 1-AP
The new charter school (Speer Academy HS) across the street from Prosser will be run with half of the administrative salaries of Prosser.

The person responsible for taking down the post from Prosser's website and installing a password is another Prosser scam artist. His name is Sebastian Sieczkowski and he's Prosser's full-time Tech Coordinator, he also works at Wright Junior College as one of their full-time computer techs.
If you look through Sieczkowski's CPD file, you'll find he was arrested at the old 25 for stealing CPS computer equipment from Prosser as another tech teacher was the one having him arrested. But, the charges where dropped because Hunter didn't want Sieczkowski arrested and draw unneeded attention to Prosser.
Sieczkowski also faced some problems in 2006-07 for playing kissing face and grab ass with a Prosser black, freshman student in the bleachers of Prosser's swimming pool area, where he kept a cot. And, he was caught with her another time in the back portion of one of Prosser's computer rooms by another teacher. The teacher catching him in the computer room reported it to CPS and Hunter, they did nothing, and she lost her job soon thereafter when Hunter cut her position.
The parents of the girl reached a backdoor settlement with Hunter to have the scandal disappear.

LSC does vote to renew principals' contract you dope. The principal can terminate ap's as wanted. Why do you think most lsc members are stacked with the principals people!! They also evaluate the principal annually.
That's what Hunter did for years at Prosser and why he kept his fiefdom in place until early this year.
What is an LSC?
Chicago Public Schools have Local School Councils (LSC) which are responsible for three main duties:
1.Approving how school funds and resources are allocated
2.Developing and monitoring the annual School Improvement Plan
3.Evaluating and selecting the school's principal
Local School Councils include the following members:
•6 parents
•2 community members
•2 teachers
•1 non-teacher staff
•school's principal
•student representative (high school LSCs only)
Hunter would handpick 6-parents and 1-'pet' student every year who he made believe he was GREAT!
Two community members would be chosen from alumni or close friends, like Tim Czarnecki.
And, the 2-'pet' teachers, 1-'pet, non-teaching' staff member, and himself rounded out the LSC. It was foolproof as he made sure those voting knew who he wanted to win and he could continue to get a new principal contract for as long as he wanted to stay at Prosser.
Hunter always loaded Prosser's LSC with his people and those who opposed him were taken off by Hunter claiming their intention for being on the LSC was to cause trouble and interrupt the learning process. In fact, Hunter had Richard Martin (Prosser's cabinetmaking teacher) removed twice from the LSC after Martin won the vote as Hunter feared him after giving Martin 2-Warning Resolutions.

One parent (Rebecca Williams) on the Prosser LSC did the unthinkable against Hunter, she questioned him on where the money at Prosser was being spent and who was getting the vendor and construction contracts. Hunter was furious with her and tried every dirty trick in the book to get her off the LSC as she was poisoning his other 'handpicked' parent LSC members.
Her son was on a type of disciplinary probation for some behavior issues and he needed to prove himself on daily basis for a month or so. He was doing what he needed to do according to Prosser's head of then-discipline (Mario Nieves), but, Hunter figured if he could kick the boy out of Prosser then his mother had to withdraw from the LSC.
Hunter told Nieves to lie and say the boy wasn't keeping up his end of the deal, so, Hunter could kick the boy out of Prosser. Nieves refused, was demoted to just a security guard, and then had his position cut altogether at Prosser.
You might have seen Nieves as an extra in some Chicago-based movies like Chuck Norris' "Code of Silence" and he's also the founder of L.A.M.A. - Chicago West Motorcycle Club.

Frank Cassello, a Prosser Drafting teacher retired after 38 years in 2006 after making $111,393. Cassello cashed in his unused sick days for a 'one-time' $100K+ payout and then started receiving a pension in the neighborhood of $80K-%85K. That's up until 2014, when his pension amount was listed for a little over $7K. Was he caught 'double-dipping'?

After retiring, Cassello then was hired at Prosser as a Toolroom Operator for $29,745 and worked full-time and not just 100 days. He found some loophole where he could get hired as non-certified staff member and thus could work full-time with medical benefits. He was residing in Burbank, IL when he retired and continued to live there after he was rehired as a Tool room operator, then he became a TA II. CPS said since there wasn't over a year in lapse time from when he retired to when he was hired in a new position that he could still reside outside Chicago.
Cassello's nickname is 'The Mayor' for the way he manipulated the system and used his 'know how', including getting his daughter Jaclyn a job as a English teacher at Prosser.
What did Cassello do? He came in at 7:00 am, drank his coffee and read the paper until students started coming. He would supervise (BS with people) security checking students at the metal detectors and then he would handout tardies after 8:00 a.m.to students after the bell. Once that was over, he hung out in the principal's office until 10 a.m. Next, he would take an hour and a half lunch and come back to Prosser around 11:30 a.m..
From 11:30 am until 1:30 P.M., he would hangout in the assistant principal's office and then the bookroom. And, then from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., he would hangout in the principal's office and swipe out/go home at 2:30 p.m. after getting his 6 1/2 hours in.
'The Mayor' is so good at what he does, he found a way for his salary as a TA II to no longer be listed on any CPS Position Files, BGA website, or the 'Open the Books' website. He's now paid off Prosser's discretionary funds, which doesn't have to be made public.
This info. will prove Frank Cassello retired in 2006 and continued to work full-time as 'Toolkeeper' and "Teacher Assistant II" at Prosser. (Double Dipping??)

Hunter was know to have female teacher candidates follow him around Prosser for 4-5 hours when they applied for teaching positions at Prosser. He's been divorced twice.
