Did You Vote?

Get with it people - Rahm isn't there yet.

Any vote against him reduces his shot at 50%-plus-1.

Nice try.

19th ward, over 5000 took to the early voting option this year. Of that, I will guess that 97% did not vote for Rahmulus.

In the end, he will win by sticking it in the ass of the 19th Ward, and all the CPD & CFD (Sellouts) workers by screwing with the pensions.

However, it was still great seeing him try to kiss the ass of the one ward in the city that detests him and openly votes against him.

Kevin Bailey was approaching a group of young voters outside of Bessie Coleman Library, at 731 East 63rd St., when a man began shooting in his direction from across the street, he said.

"It's extremely disappointing and it's saddening but it's an example of how we failed [the shooter]. I'm upset but not at [the shooter]," said Bailey, who said the shooter was likely a victim of "closed schools, broken homes."

OT New ruling in New Jersey where Christie tried to cut the states funding obligation to the pensions. Court ruled against him. More and more rulings in fact all have gone against states and citys that tried. Appears those states and cities, including Chicago will have to follow the law or get the unions and employees to negoitiate a settlement, probably thru scare tactics. Like the pension is going broke unless you increase YOUR contributions to 13% and we do nothing. Most guys with 20 plus years on would say why not I would only have to pay the increased contributions for a few years to protect my pension, so who cares about the new guys

O/T Pending legislation affecting concealed carry

House Bill 0367 (HB0367) would eliminate the prohibition against carrying concealed weapons on public transportation.

It has been sent to the House Judiciary Committee in Springfield, whose Criminal Committee hearing is tomorrow, Feb 25 2015 4:00PM in the Stratton Building Room D-1 Springfield, IL.

This is a good bill. Let’s hope it doesn’t die in committee.

New Jersey Superior Court Judge Mary Jacobson ruled in favor of the unions that sued Christie, saying that his failure to make full payments to their pension system violated the state’s constitutional obligation to workers. She also ordered Christie to work with the legislature to satisfy the state’s obligation.

Lets say you’re a politician with a large campaign war chest from all those special intersts. You seek a particular endorsement from a mass media outlet. The media outlet is on the fence and the political candidate starts the conversation of millions of dollars of revenue from campaign ads enhancing their bottom line or business profits. Money talks, and if you want a particular endorsement start talking dollars and cents. Potential revenue streams trumps the best interests of the public. The media outlets are in the business of making money-the more the better. Ah, the power and influence of the media.

Now I'll bet these same officers are now going to throw the present young officers under the bus. They're thinking is, I'll be out of here in a few years, so let the young fucks pay the extra 13%. The 19th ward, and most of the cops in it are a bunch of robots. The ward went for Sen Bill Cunningham, a democrat who is double dipping pensions and is very anti police (no concealed carry, yes on early release from IDOC etc) and will again put in O'Shea for alderman who let section 8 into my greenwood and appears in campaign literature with Rahm. O'Shea is a career politician who does exactly what Rahm tells him to, 97% of the time according to voting records. I wish all the city workers here, especially the blow yards who rant against liberals and democrats would actually go to the polls and vote against them, but that will NEVER happen

"Suspects are reportedly not booked when taken to the secret location, like they would be if they were arrested and taken to the local police station. Because of this, Chicago lawyer Julia Bartmes told the Guardian that it’s “an open secret among attorneys that regularly make police station visits, this place – if you can’t find a client in the system, odds are they’re there.”"

Scott Waguespack in 32 is totally independent. he votes against Rahm regularly. He voted against the parking meter deal. He beat the machine guy, Ted Matlak, relative of Gapinski of the Rostenkowski organization.

The only aldermen who voted against the parking meter deal were: Alds. Toni Preckwinkle (4th), Leslie Hairston (5th), Billy Ocasio (26th), Scott Waguespack (32nd) and Rey Colon (35th).

I did not notice this non-machine guy Vittorio (36) in that bunch. I don't believe he was an alderman then. Wasn't that Banks ward? Then his driver, Rice. Then Sposato. And now, who knows.

OFF TOPIC:
So, after taking the car of one of the hardest working, professional, and respected PO's in 011, because he didn't generate requisite number of CONTACT CARDS...
Today, he was called in and asked to do these same bosses a solid, and man a post as a school officer at the worst school in the fuckin district.
Can you believe these motherfuckers?
Naturally, his answer was "No!"
Thing is, he's the kind of PO who would've done it in a heartbeat, previously. Because he's always looking to help out where needed.
Good for you LM.
Let them make some low seniority, made the watch via management, type sit in that hell hole school, and deal with the police hater principal and scary ass security staff.
Remember, this is the same principal who had officers in the school, but decided to have them removed, when they informed her she doesn't decide who gets arrested. Fuck her!

SCC, thank you for hammering away at this message. Thank you for letting me hammer away on this issue. Thanks to everyone on this forum who did the same.

I felt so warm and fuzzy when a talking head on TV used my exact term of putting rahms feet in the fire.

Burn, baby burn!!!

A fucking incumbant mayor who just days before had POTUS Obummer come and support him and yet the little prick still failed to get 50% + 1.

Talk about a monumental fail.

Did I have a horse in this race? No. Just one that I wanted to be kept in the stable.

Do I have a horse now? Yes.

Don't let that crap about having all the cops walking beats. It's just capaigning political BS. Chuy can't harm us more than rahm did. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts trying to get our vote by supporting our medical plans that rahn has laid to waste.

Even if he turns out to be a moron who can't get anything done during a four year term, it would still be better than letting tiny dancer have the job for eight years.

Now there is actually room to get rid of the little prick!

Then I guess they already asked in December for merit packages for sgts?? Yeah, they always ask for merit packages 3-4 months ahead of time... Sometimes longer. However, it was a very nice try. By the way, did u know that they are only down 42 sgts right now? City does not even consider filling Sgt vacancies until the number of sgts drops to 130 short. 130 is the magic number for a class to even be considered. 2009 we were near 300 short before they started making classes regularly again. So no sgts are getting made anytime soon... Beat it troll
