Where is 17 again???
All these districts are so short. In 19 we are lucky to have outside units because of cubs games. We just have some bad sergeants like the house mouse patrol. OS Go back to 35th.
And 4 sgts assigned to the watch causing supervisors to be requested and detailed because all the primadonas assigned to 2nd watch
Ah, good ole Cha. Why don't they start a new project initiative in Detroit. They need people to move back, more free housing, be around the kind of people they are. It's a win win for everyone. I will donate 1000 right now.

I left the department a few months ago, 20 is my number... guys I would not do it today... I am glad to see other people are not doing today either because the job is shit... to an extend you don't have to worry about assholes, you gotta worry about other coppers more... you know what I mean if you been on the job long enough

Shit, now that the word is out, no one will get a day off the rest of the summer. Over 300 9161's in 017 16 years ago, now, heh, 170?
Now go get those missions done. The 5 cars left can handle the district. If 2 real crimes happened at once in 017 the rap would last until the next day.
Dangerously sort for a long long time. It's the "forgotten district" Headquarters needs to send some young guys there to work midnights. It's a shit watch and older guys won't work it. 017 needs help and fast.
The nice thing is, will they send more manpower? Why no, no one can have a day off until the middle of September. These fools that run this department and city make things like shit, blame the people that try to work through it and punish you some more.
So that means when the 1st watch early cars go into the station (445am) to when the 2nd watch early cars come out (6am), there's only 4 cars out on the street in the entire district. Probably parked up in the hole waiting out the shift to be honest. The district is up for grabs every night at that time.
I know it's 017 but God-forbid imagine needing another car on a job or worst case scenario, a 10-1. The officers involved are fucked. I know it's a rarity in a place like 017 but if someone is shot the entire district must come to a screeching halt. Even on the weekends, all it takes is a couple of calls and they're in a backlog.
Do officers need to get killed before this is addressed?

We have 15 cars, a wagon, and sometimes an 06. However, if you take away the cars downed for "beat integrity", "traffic mission", "post shooting mission", and "take J/O to hospital for meds", I think we have 2 cars available to actually handle calls.
No shit we're in a RAP the entire fucking night!
Escamerit is determined not to get yelled at during Comcrap meetings. "Yes, boss, my cars were in their proper boxes, and I cancelled all their days off, don't blame me, boss".
You know, SCC you ride a fine line here when bullshit like this is posted here. I think most coppers are aware of the no manpower issue, but I'm not sure letting the shitheads know is a great idea for our collective safety. Not a criticism. Just sayin'.
Maybe sending this to all of the aldercreatures via email might be a better idea.

Rahm needs to move officers assigned to the ghetto back into tax paying areas. Enough is enough!
It is only a matter of time before an officer files suit against the city for lack of man power and/or lack of training. When I'm getting my ass kicked and my only backup is on the other side of the district. Training is NOT a video played in roll call on a 20 year old TV with no sound.
019 at times can have anywhere from 2 -7 down cars a day. Most everybody on 2nd and 3rd watch are 99. With boystown, the ball park and packed bars. What could go wrong?

If you go to a suburb that is the size of 017 and has a similar crime rate the number of POs would be less or equal then the pic posted. We need the citizens to see what the city is giving them.
As long as POs can get time off, we need to do what we can. I'd advise districts on the same zone crossing districts to back each other up. If commanders have a problem then we'll grieve officer safety.
Yet 017 is also gentrifying at a fast pace. And what do we get for paying a princely sum for a house and hefty property taxes? Less police services.
The important this is that Rahm's Bodyguard & Lickspittle team is fully manned.
God help us if we dont get an event# for foot patrol on midnights.

And what is the response from AlderCreature Arena? He is too busy trying to bring "social engineering" to his community because he knows the positive effects of transplanting society's misfits and thugs to a once tranquil part of the city. This AlderClown will not be happy unless he has multiple calls of shots fired while there are no cars available. Then he will attempt to bring a couple more roach motels to the neighborhood. Then Prickwrinkle will reward him with another fund raiser while simultaneously importing someone from her staff to run against him and subsequently win. Dorothy Tillman would be her first choice.

Hey fella, it's 017, you need over 15 years to get off midnights, nearly 20 to get days, well, unless you're special. There aren't any young officers on midnights either. Got some young people on the desk, upstairs and caps, but they even have 10 years now.
They haven't sent more than a few new guys in 10 years to 017. You bid in, you got 15 years and there you go. No "new" officers.
I wonder what the on-paper schedule looked like.
But if taking the time to send a screenshot, including a date & time would be more constructive for the argument, should a copy it be forwarded to a complacent, mayoral ally AlderTwit.
Has to the midnights, I'll bet there's only one 10-4, maybe 1733 operating as the wagon,and seems 10 Sector went on the same call with 11 taking a break afterwards.

Next year when Rahm is looking 500 additional police for the street he's going to remove Officers from the High schools. Especially the public officers in private schools and the ones with incidents. Sorry boys and girls better brush up on you computer report writing skills.
011 has plenty of cops running around but we have a lot of missions and boxes and hunch labs and stuff too. Maybe they should send some of these younger go getter guys up north. Oh wait the west and south sides need all that heavy police presence there because it's making a real difference you can tell.

The citizens are going to have to speak up at the polls. The current alderthieves don't care, they have their flunkies tell the CAPS people to tell the Beatbguys to be quiet about manpower. They don't want to hear it. Don't make any noise, don't rock the boat. Keep the citizen sheep in the dark and they stay in power handing their seats to their kids

Considering lunch breaks, units going to court, units going in on arrests, hospital details, leads and ethics training,... Guys be safe out there, getting an assist unit can be difficult.
The so called media in this town, both papers and now channel 9 are nothing but dictation takers of Rahm's multi million dollar taxpayer financed spin machine. And joe Ferguson refuses to investigate any of Rahm's or the democrats corruption.

You could call up any time you want if your shift is about to start and you don't want to go in, been denied time due, or your day off has been cancelled and tell them to fill out a par form for a day off without pay. Simple. You don't show up for work and you don't get paid for that day. Your paycheck might be a little lighter but you can still make it to whatever you had planned that day.
On midnights in 017 there has been sometimes 3 late cars handling the entire district when the early cars go home.

Come on, give the guy some credit. Without any skill set he has been able to sneak his way into units, cushy districts, and a merit promotion (burning bridges at each spot along the way). Although he is a backstabbing pos, one must admit that his over inflated sense of self worth and his need to be a second hand source of Dept info, has got him the attention of a few exempts. I believe OS has mastered the CPD fast track to exempt member status.
