Here a Tax, There a Tax

Discussions are underway to replace the missing $200 million that Prickwrinkle already spent on next year's County budget. Among the proposals:
  • The new plan is to put $100 license fee on bicycles. Got to pay for all bike paths and lanes on streets that clog traffic. Not a bad idea kind of like a user fee. Also planning on a $75 ticket for no helmets. Got to replace the sugar revenue. Toni, is livid feels betrayed. Look out she is about to become very vindictive.
This has been floated before, especially as the cost for bike lanes was revealed (6-digits per mile) and:
  • the gas taxes took a hit from all the gas that wasn't being bought by bikers,
  • parking fees that dried up,
  • parking violations that didn't exist,
  • boot fees that can't be collected,
  • and traffic violation that couldn't be issued.
We'll probably have bike chases being called off for whatever reasons as riders flee traffic stops.

Dog eating dog-- our liberal bike rider friends who don't give 2 fucks or a 12 oz can of sugary soda-- are about to get taxed. I say boost it $250 per bike or $350 for the 3 wheeled monster bikes. And it should be 500 for the yup-ed up Frankenstein bikes that actually 2 bikes chopped up into one.

Government is eating itself people... this is what happens when you try to fuck someone in the ass--- or tax someone in ass. And you failed to do proper business calculus. Government try's to tax everything possible. Again stupid-winkle.. tax hypodermic needles, and drug baggies. Taxes them at 100%. But oh, the dope fiends will start to go green and reuse needles...

We just got a letter from Aetna stating that thanks to the affordable care act (OBama Care) we are going to be charged very close to 75.00 a month starting in January to help cover OBama Care for the losers in society this is all possible thanks to the democrates and that idiot Nasty Pelosi. Reminds me of the refrain to a song from the

You know what really burns me up!? All these pedestrians with their walking, not helping out the city like Rahmy said we all had to. Why should they get a free walking pass while we the drivers have to pay their share. Just think about all the sidewalks and curb ramps everywhere that benefit them and they don't pay for anything with their walking. There should be a special walking tax maybe a shoe tax and maybe even a walking permit. We could have temporary walking permits for visitors to our city/county and also have senior citizen and student discounts. We could have higher fees for heavy people too or people wearing heavy work boots. And all the sitting too?! What about all that sitting? Park benches are free you know and yet people can just sit on one anywhere for nothing. Maybe LAZ can get in on that deal and get the city some income. Neighborhood parks are one rate then the downtown or lakefront benches cost more to use, just like parking a car.

Maybe sugar tax girl could go after the teams for millions of dollars of tax revenue! Why do the Illinois State police and other agencies give these overpaid boys police escorts lights and sirens down the expressways so they can play this silly game? Why not charge them thousands of dollars for the service which is illegal anyway? Why not put a tax on every ticket sold say $50 per ticket this would raise a lot of money and also make people realize what a waste of time it is to support people like this!

So, isn’t it ironic that the same person who desperately wanted the tax on sugared drinks “to fight obesity” because it’s all “for the children” now wants to levy a very steep tax on those same “children” if they ride their bikes - which, BTW, fights obesity?

IMHO they can tax all of the sanctimonious Millennials riding their bikes everywhere $500, but leave the kids and the old people alone. We old people are riding our bikes to “fight obesity” and stay healthy and not cost Medicare even more money.

Went to Del Rhea’s Chicken Basket for dinner last night and bought 14 12-packs of DIET soda at neighboring Target, saving $20.16 buying in DuPage County. That was after filling up the RV with gas in Indiana on the way back from a camping trip. An RV which is registered to a suburban address. Probably saved another $20 on the fill up and I for pay no city sticker. The only government entity that made money was the DNR for the campsite and Jessie White back when I got the plate.

In other words, suck it Preckwinkle. The “sugar tax” on sugar free drinks is a total insult. At least push your “it’s for health reasons” lie in a way that is remotely believable. My family as I are all in great shape and hiked many miles over the weekend. Susie:SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — Illinois is chasing a moving target as it tries to dig out of the nation's worst budget crisis, and a review obtained by The Associated Press shows $7.5 billion worth of unpaid bills — as much as half the total — hadn't been sent to the official who writes the checks by the end of June.

Although many of those IOUs have since been paid, a similar amount in unprocessed bills has replaced them in the last three months, Comptroller Susana Mendoza's office said Monday. That's in addition to $9 billion worth of checks that are at the office but being delayed because the state lacks the money to pay them.

Lets look at 1 major problem, you idiots made chicago-crook county-and the state a sanctuary state how many hundreds of billions is this costing us? We have a local supermarket (out of state) that gives
"fuel perks" based on total spending (redeem at local
gas stations (a subsidiary of the supermarket)).
Anyway, since I don't have a 30-gallon tank on an SUV
(Redemption: up to 30 gallons for free), I purchased
heavy duty no-leak 5 gallon red plastic cans. I save
my points, then get a friend with a pickup to fill up
5 large cans (will actually hold about 6 gallons).
So, before winter hits, get some containers before
winter so you can avoid trips across state lines in bad
weather. Store in safe place and add Sta-Bil MARINE
gas preservative. You don't need to be a tax hostage
during a blizzard or ice storm. PAY YOURSELF FIRST!

Can't wait to see what kind of new taxes will be enacted. Get the pen out and the checkbook warmed up because they will be coming for you very soon. I promise you it won't be pretty, the billions in debt translate to somewhere $600_$800 per Illinois resident. That's actually an low because there are so many non taxpaying residents. Those numbers do not include the $18-12 BILLION in underfunded pensions. Can you say soon to be bankrupt state.

Time to build a wall around city to protect the rest of the country from the liberal plague infecting the once great city. Grew up in Austin area in the late 50s and 60s. Beautiful neighborhood safe day and night and decent city schools. What happened to that neighborhood. White flight in middle 60s and in a few short years the new demographics turned that once proud neighborhood into a war zone that is not safe to drive through during the day. Funny how quickly thing changed with just a change of the racial demographics in the area. Same happened all over city but it is not politically correct to point this out. Better to ignore the facts if they make people uncomfortable.
