More PPP Fraud?
Prickwrinkle still avoiding scrutiny though:
Cook County employees are suspected of stealing more than $1.2 million from the federal government’s Paycheck Protection Program created in 2020 to bail out struggling businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Friday, interim Cook County Inspector General Steven Cyranoski released a report for the fourth quarter of 2023 detailing $300,000 of PPP fraud involving seven health department employees and a facilities management worker.
In prior quarterly reports since July 2022, Cyranoski has said he suspected at least 31 other county workers had committed PPP fraud. The fraud documented in all of his reports adds up to more than $1.2 million.

In Chicago, City Hall’s inspector general is continuing to investigate whether hundreds of city employees, including cops and firefighters, ripped off the program.
Few public employees in Chicago suspected of Paycheck Protection Program fraud have faced criminal charges. One noteworthy exception was a federal indictment against two cops accused of stealing more than $2 million from the program. One of the officers retired two weeks before he was charged last year.
Previous articles have mentioned somewhere around 1,000 city workers, but the number of firings is minuscule and those facing actual criminal charges less than that.
We're still waiting for the hammer to drop on thirty or more OEMC employees at some point.

The “water cooler talk” at OEMC is they’re preparing to fire 30-50 employees mostly police operations call takers and dispatchers (Lol) by February or March as they frantically try to hire and train new employees in order to eliminate going on two watches 12hr shifts which will cause more issues if you know anything about that group.

Interesting is the CPS OIG William Fletcher only recommended 12 CPS employees for termination in the PPP loan fraud and each were given a DNH. Out of what? 42,000 employees. Are you f'in kidding me or what?
This is the MAJOR problem with CPS, their IG and CPS Law both look the other way at their wrongdoers and will only do something if a parent(s) files a lawsuit or someone skimming isn't part of some branch of a CPS inner circle.
The 12 CPS employees that Fletcher's office nailed were just the top tiered employees in terms of salary with former Chief of Staff to the CPS CEO Crystal Cooper ($225K) being the big tuna. The f'in #1 CPS person's assistant. What does that tell you about CPS oversight?
Fletcher said in multiple reports the PPP loan fraud is so wide spread throughout CPS that he's only focusing on the highest salaried employees first. Well, in his annual report, Fletcher mentioned a few CPS PPP loan fraudsters were making less than $100K. So, why hasn't Fletcher investigated teachers and clerks making over $95K-$100K?
It's bad enough the CTU forced remote learning longer than any other school district in the Chicagoland area. Now, were finding out those same remote learning teachers couldn't be satisfied with lounging around at home, flicking on their laptops, and bullshitting with 50% of their students and collecting a handsome salary. No, they had to try and screw the government out of more money in PPP loan fraud.
During COVID, Lake View HS had 5 PE teachers making over $100K in salary and they didn't do ZOOM classes very often. What did their students do for work? They did honor system reporting of daily physical activities submitted via CPS email to the teacher. One PE teacher posted a photo of two of his students making a snowman in front of Wrigley Field. Nice way for those PE teachers to earn those $100K paychecks.(Lake View HS now has 8 PE teachers with the school having less students than during COVID)

I don’t understand if there is evidence of PPP fraud these individuals should be suspended from work charged accordingly and if found guilty fired. All benefits forfeited. Period. It’s felony theft.

Inspector general will be going after CFD,CPD that reside on far northwest,southeast and southwest side of Chicago.

Here is something to think about not that many years ago they were DOA Police, armed at both airports now they are unarmed security but they have hundreds of them. Why then do we need platoons of police at both airports? Can't they just like they did before respond to a scene and call the real police when it is needed? 008 and 016 are stripped on manpower especially on the west ends where airports are located why not use the coppers there to patrol sort of a mission team to respond when needed?
