Literally broke down crying at a deployment from the stress. WTF.2. Deputy Chief Calderon to Deputy Chief A3 (replacing Shemash). He’s a much better critical incident supervisor than manager. Again, WTF!!3. Cmdr Betancourt to Deputy Chief (replaces Nieves)4. Cmdr 025 to Cmdr 010. He was only visiting 025 for a few periods.5. Lt. LA (189) to Cmdr 025. Lt. is the working police despite his connections.6. 2 Captains promoted. Was originally slated for 5 Captain promotions. (nfi)7. Cpt. Fenner moved outta 005 (to make room for a competent Captain to help the new Commander get promoted to Deputy by April 2025 )8. Cmdr DH 001 retiring in May 2025 (instead of being demoted). His ppl are negotiating a lateral (lol) until retirement. This guy survives it all (like a cockroach).9. Cmdr YP 002 being demoted since she hit the medical during the DNC.10. A few more gold stars to be shuffled but the list is not complete.

The deputy director of OEMC 911 operations is retiring. The interim deputy director used to be head of the training department. We can all clearly see how competent she was in that role by all the fuk ups that have happened
No way DH gets demoted or moved. The morale in 001 has never been higher and his officers put their lives and jobs on the line each day with him leading from the front, on the street shoulder to shoulder. If he gets replaced there is no coming back for this department.
I saw the Supe in 002 the other day. I guess he has to put his boots to the ground if he wants real answers. He promised the media that he would get answers for recent crimes. I’m guessing he had to hold the incompetent hands.

Some of these rumors are several months old. I've heard Bettancourt isn't getting a bump, Andaverde is not leaving 025, and LA doesn't want the Commander position at this point in his career. This can all change in a heartbeat. The bigger rumor is YP will be demoted and indicted. She has a side piece she was giving outrageous amounts of OT to. The side piece is now at call back and ready to talk. I'll just keep doing my job either way.

In G. Shemish’s defense, she has spent most of her career working and developing the Forensics DNA Unit and then the luxurious 012 District. Living up to the role of D/C can be very difficult considering it doesn’t come with a training manual. Besides, the department forced her to be in charge of civilians, officers, sergeants, Lt’s and commanders and all of that. It isn’t her fault that she chose to be self indulgent, and it certainly isn’t her fault that this department promotes unqualified personnel to leadership.
Heard the creepy medical abuser sgt MN is retiring because he applied for commander and wasn't picked. Good riddance.

Keep going. Change is good. I personally believe that exempts should be rotated every two years to give them more experience. This will also help increase morale and build the exempts’ resume’. Rotating is good because most have become too complacent and unappreciative of their undeserving position.

Couldnt dispatch herself out of a paper bag and sat on the citywides doing as little as possible. She was useless in training. Got promoted to supervisor and was worse than useless. Then got double promoted, being infinitely smarter than everyone, skipped the position of Watch Manager completely and is now in line for the big chair. Never managed a watch, now put her in charge of 911, its the Chicago way.

Remember when Commander Gilberto Caldron shamed, humiliated and disrespected a female officer for not putting a hash mark over the "O" in Calderon noting she wasn't a true latinx. Calderon had the balls to instruct his watch commanders in the proper ethnic spelling of his name in English. He would not accept to/from with his ancestral hashmark over the "O". This was Gil's priority not the dead bodies and bodies riddled with bullets in his little village.
Calderon would not conduct those "Custom Notifications" where command staff visit high ranking gang member at there home in uniform intimidating them into submission with their stature and gold plated tin badges. Commander Pena was more of a man exhibiting machismo when confronting high ranking gang executive leaders.
Commander Pena did not complain when officers did not put a squiggly over the "n" in Pena. That’s not the only medical folder that they’ve been through. IAD frequently goes down there and thumbs through and copies files they want. There is no security of anyone’s files. They just lay around on people’s desks, carts
and tables with no real security. They need to really outsource the medical section to a reputable company not the useless unprofessional hibitty jibitty civilians and dozens of coppers who work down there. Hippa violations all over the place! For you younger coppers, there is no confidentiality on this job. BIA and the medical section have access to all of your shit and they will use it against you.

IAD (Chief Talley) is constantly violating officers HIPPA rights. She and her minions go down to the medical section and thumb through officers medical files. This is exactly why the last Medical Administrator left the department. There was a big fallout between the civilians at the medical section and the IAD before the last Administrator left. The Superintendent is clueless to what really goes on in this department.
Chief of Detectives Antionette Ursitti is still riding off of her father’s coattail? Name one thing she’s done to be promoted to Chief of Detectives? It also helped that she was a member of the LGBQT community while Lightfoot was Mayor. I know her personally, nice lady, but she only cares about herself. She has done absolutely nothing to better the D-Unit.
Commander Phillips body count keeps rising on this department. She has done no work to earn a promotion. The work she’s put in is not promotable because the recipients were PO’s. She deserves some rest. Let her ride it on out.
