Crooked Larritorious

We're told Larry reads the blog regularly. And we're told he takes it personally when called out on things. 

We've pointed out that he never passed a test high enough to get promoted on his own ability - Given, not Earned. And we've noted that his history of banging recruits at the Academy was the stuff of #metoo Legend.

But now, he's heading up a corrupt investigatory process that allows criminals to escape justice because of who they're related to. 

You see, a few months ago, there was a shooting in 015. A suspect shot the victim numerous times and fled. The victim told the detectives who shot him. Numerous witnesses gave descriptions and the name of the shooter. A number of security cameras recorded the shooting, verifying the victim/witness accounts. Slam dunk, right?

Well, as reported here, the shooter was the nephew of Yolanda Talley, the soon-to-be First Deputy. And after the detectives got video, interviewed witnesses, put together their reports, they went to a number of Tact teams and Fugitive Apprehension and guess what?

So Nephew Talley was free to roam around, doing whatever it is west side scumbags do after nearly killing someone, being identified by name numerous times and pretty much acting untouchable because of who their auntie is.

Finally, they forced the issue at court, a single team stepped up and made the arrest, and Nephew Talley admitted everything. Who would have thought?

But how, after the Detectives did a bang-up, by-the-book job, is no one held accountable in the intervening months for not doing basic police work? There should be at least half-a-dozen supervisory dumps, a revamping of all the teams who didn't go after a named Aggravated Battery offender, and a new First Deputy who allegedly was threatening to dump people over this (following her dope transporting niece incident.)

And Larritorious, by his silence, is directly implicated in not enforcing the law when it involves a high ranking political appointee.
