All well and good if you want to pretend you actually care about the Officers - a little personal touch might alleviate the hurt feelings.
Except, if you run the message through an AI detector program, guess who actually wrote the message?
So that message that was supposed to make you feel better about having to miss your RDO with the children was almost 100% written by a robot who doesn't really give a rat's ass about you, your kids or your families.

What’s funny is that we all know that a PO or Sgt from the Supes staff writes these. The supe reads it quickly and approves or tells to add or remove something. most of the time, quick read and approved. What’s funny here, is the Sgt or PO, who’s job this is, is going to be outed now that he doesn’t even write these messages, uses AI and takes credit from the supe for writing good emails.. now it’s a huge embarrassment for the supe.. whoops..
Can somebody find the past emails from when we’ve had officers die on duty or from suicide recently???? Are those also A.I?!?!?!? I don’t know how to use the technology, but if anyone still has those emails, check those. If those are all fake, then shame, shame, shame!
I have seen on tiktok that sometimes the AI detector can mark everything as AI but sad if he decided to use a robot instead of taking 10-15 minutes to draft a real email.
That is because the cs is an idiot that can't contruct a letter properly. He was/is an affirmative action token/tool.

At least his email is passable as being written by a human. I recently read an arrest narrative by an officer just off their status that was AI generated; beyond any doubt. Should be fun in court when the attorneys pick up on it.
All of Larry’s assistants, drivers, writers, merit sergeants, and their combined brain computing power couldn’t even compose a simple genuine Hapy Father’s Day email for the rank and file. These empty headed merit morons think fluff believe the more fluff the better. We are really fucked.
I can see a plus side to this. We could start replacing the politicians like BLM Brandon with AI and robots. Better decisions would be made by AI, elimination of his costly salary, his costly security detail, and all of his payrollers.

Consider this, that Father’s Day card you received, was not written by your kid. Your kid just spent $5.95 for a Hallmark card. You think your kid spent an hour in Walgreens looking for the perfect card for you or just grabbed the first one he saw? And you, SCC, have you personally written any Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, anniversary or birthday card since you were in 2nd grade? Give him a break, it’s the thought that counts.

Twenty seven years ago I was new on the job. I was assigned to work the Puerto Rican celebration week at Humboldt Park.
At the start of our shift, a big boss gave us a pep talk in a very hot, stuffy humid room. Some PO made a snide remark. The white shirt boss went off on a rant: "each and everyone of you is just another blue shirt. Just another number. We got more of you's guys and gals sitting in the police academy right now. None of you are special. Now I say this not to be an asshole. I say this because this is how it is and this is how it's gonna be. So the only option you have is to always take care of yourself. Because this department is not going to take care of you".

Whenever an e-mail is sent by the department it turns my stomach to even try to read it, I find it easier to delete it. At the end of the day we are all replaceable numbers to this department and clown bosses. Canceled days off was an outside unit, tact or gang thing and we all accepted those terms since we didn't work full tours 90% of the time. We all knew the game but the cancelation of watches and forced 12 hour days is only a few years old and its non sense. I remember plenty of times being RDO for the 4th of July and never worrying about have it cancelled. I came on this job 27 years ago and it was never like this, screw this department and the company men that allow this to happen.

Retired here...Bacause days off were NEVER cancelled...not until the early 2000's (TABD) when the manpower shortage had begun. Of course we all worked six days in a row back then too...You could work a day of special employment if you chose to, but I dont recall days off being cancelled department wide and having to work a 12 hour day. Some OT whores would have loved it...to each, his own...stay safe.

lol- my old partner married an Irish south side girl. Not only did she work a full-time job as a nurse, she juggled 5 kids, painted the house, installed ceiling fans & almost always had dinner on the table. That same partner would roll on to his mom’s house when he stayed out too late at the bar. She’d cook him breakfast in the morning while the wife was left to get the kids off to school. I had almost exclusively male partners on the job. All their wives were pretty self sufficient & understood the day’s off cancelled and appreciated the extra money coming into the family. I came on in the 1990s. When we got our FOP books in January we would quickly check which holidays we were off and start planning. Never, and i mean never, did we have a day off cancelled. Most you had to worry about was having your D.O.G. changed, but you reverted back to the D.O.G. you had when you picked your furlough.
