It’s sad. 75 percent of this list has under 7-8 years with no knowledge or experience. Blue cards and traffic stops is not being the police.

Should have been easy to outscore people with no knowledge nor experience. These are top of the list, if it’s true they are no nothings, then what does that say about the rest of the list? Or maybe you’re just salty you don’t know as much as you think because going on 20 jobs a night will not expand your knowledge, just work you hard. Study harder next time chump.

This is the future of the department. These kids are definitely smarter than us old timers academically however they don’t know and will never learn shit about the streets. Then again that’s what politicians want so I guess congrats to all?

Never before, have so many, so undeserving, so inexperienced, so connected been given a promotion under the guise of "merit" and been so ungrateful, and so narcissistic and self absorbed.
These people will all come to their new units and act like everything is legit. They will regale the watches with their personal feats of heroism. Send in the clowns...Honk-Honk..! There ought to be more clowns', Honk-Honk..!
Don’t sell yourself short. The degrees they have come from Calumet College, Wright College-Humboldt Park, UIC, etc. I defy most to spell “sergeant” correctly. Six years ago I was shown the door at age 63 and I had the pleasure of working with, and supervising many intelligent, educated, and motivated policemen. Many were in their late twenties and early thirties and were 2nd and 3rd generation Chicago policemen. Any and all would make excellent sergeant’s having been excellent policemen themselves (none worked the CAPS office). Not a single one of them on this or any other recent list I’ve seen posted. Demographics is destiny and this sergeants list might as well be anonymous.
Another class of Sgt’s begins in August & October!!

MM going to 24, nice guy but over rated. This will be his second bite of the merit apple. First merit detective promotion, he landed in Area Three assigned to 2nd watch. Now he is going to 24 as a sergeant on his second merit promotion. Once a very handsome man but now his age is beginning to show. Will his good looks get him to merit lieutenant? We shall see.
Sent to every district it seems. Only 10 merit in that class and no merit in the detective class that is coming out in a week. Is this a turnaround for the department?

NOT one went to a specialized unit yet we ended up getting Sgt. Khoushaba back after the academy. How is that possible? And he's wrecked the unit ever since.

So being a humble person makes you a winner. Does being a humble person entitle someone to cut in line and be promoted. My suggestion is to be less humble and get promoted by score at least one time.
