Aiding / Abetting is Illegal, Right?

A bunch of democrats ILLEGALLY fled Texas so as to avoid doing their jobs in the Texas legislature. It seems that they're "big mad" that Republicans are taking a page out of their playbook and redrawing political lines so as to garner some extra seats in DC.

Boo Hoo. It's bit like democrats haven't done the same thing for years wherever they're in charge:

  • 2024 Election (Illinois) 55% D, 45% R - but 14 of 17 reps are dems (82%)
  • 2024 Election (New York) 56% D, 43% R - but 19 of 26 reps are dems (73%)
  • 2024 Election (California) 58% D, 38% R - but 43 of 52 reps are dems (83%)

Not very proportional, and even less so when you include the two dem senators from each state. So spare us the fake outrage.

Now, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is threatening the missing democrats with arrest for abandoning their elected posts:

  • Texas House Republicans on Monday voted 85-6 to authorize the House sergeant-at-arms and related officers to track down and civilly arrest Democrats who fled the state, many heading to Illinois, in protest of GOP redistricting efforts.

"The sergeant-at-arms and any officers appointed by her are directed to send for all absentees whose attendance is not excused for the purposes of securing and maintaining their attendance under warrant of arrest, if necessary, until further order of the House," said Republican state Rep. Dustin Burrows, the speaker of the Texas House of Representatives.

As you may or may not know, they're here in Illinois, guests of Fata$$ and making public appearances to screech and whine about how "democracy is dying" somehow....while the majority party enacts what the majority of their citizens voted for.

Our question is this though:

  • Could Greg Abbott get a Texas Grand Jury to make a case for indicting Fata$$ for aiding and abetting the Texas dems in their illegal acts?

It might toss a wrench in his national ambitions and certainly cost him private attorney fees - this isn't a governmental function of any sort in Illinois, breaking Texas laws. An interesting bit of speculation.

Texas needs to leave it the way it is. It’s already solid red, and we won’t gain nothing. If they set the president of doing this then California, new York, Illinois will re draw and will be all blue. We would lose a lot more than we would gain. And no, what they are doing isn’t illegal. Texas constitution doesn’t let them issue arrest warrants for this, or let the governor take their seats. This is all for show on both sides and will most likely backfire hard in our faces.

The Dems from Texas fled to Illinois to stop the voting in Texas regarding the voting on the Congressional seats. While they are doing this the Texas citizens are losing to their strong arm techniques. The people in the recent flood areas are not getting their disaster monies. These Dems are worried the GOP might gain some seats. Pritizker is putting them up in hotels here and he is going to show them how Illinois gerrymanders which is the worst in the nation. Pull up the maps of Illinois, it's unreal. Some of them went to New York to meet with NY Gov Kathy Hochul who declared war on the GOP. Check out maps of gerrymandering in Illinois.

"Civil arrest" is a woefully inadequate response. Criminal charges are needed and seats need to be vacated at once. Playing softball is losing. A dramatic example must be set. If Abbott and Paxton can't even manage that, we're already screwed.

Lets face it, we have a Lawless Country and a 2-Tiered Criminal Justice System. Trump and his Administration haven’t even put a single dent in it yet although they’ve tried somewhat, but the mess is still tremendous. Law and Order in America is nowhere to really be found, and it appears that our own US Politicians are some of the biggest and most heinous criminal offenders. More Judges than ever appear to be paid off political tools with no desire at all for enforcing true justice. Crime is paying off more than ever, if you are a member of the elites. Meanwhile, street crime is as prevalent and dangerous as ever for the average person, and the Trump Administration, although off to a good start, is taking baby steps, when giant leaps are needed. At this rate, the only things that can save our Country are God Almighty and the US Military .

The Dems did this for the last election in Illinois for 2024. Remember the useful tool of the January 6th debacle??? An Illinois RINO named Kitzinger who was picked by Nancy to represent the Republicans. He was re-districted out of his seat. Short memory?? He, of course following orders, was given some sort of seat at the table on MSNBC to pose as their token "Republican" to criticize Trump at every turn.

I think the redistricting in Texas will add an addition 4-5 seats to the Republican side. California has 3 extra Democrat seats they are not entitled to. So, it does matter! Remember one of the mottos of the Permanently Aggrieved: "It is never enough". As for our side: Play the same game with the same tools. Lead from a position of power not from behind. The more numbers we have in Congress the easier it is to pass needed legislation, cabinet positions and judges.

Just my old and very humble opinion.

Taxability of Shipping and Handling Charges

The amended regulations make it clear that shipping fees are subject to sales tax if there is an "inseparable link" between the sale and the shipping incurred by the customer. An inseparable link exists if (1) the shipping fees are not separately stated from the cost of the goods purchased or (2) if the shipping fees are separately stated, but the seller either (a) does not offer the customer the option of picking up the goods or (b) does not offer the customer a free shipping option.

If the cost of shipping is separately stated and if the customer is offered the option of pickup or free shipping, then the shipping charges are not subject to Illinois sales tax.3 Please note, the retailer's store identified for pickup does not have to be in Illinois.

Texas is going purple. All the big cities there are liberal and headed the direction of every other big shit hole democratic city. Texans in rural areas are red voters. The problem is that Texas has been an IT hub for a long time which means lots of people moving in and out from other places and they bring their politics with them. In the 1990's, lots of Californians moved to Texas (Texans were not happy about that) and they brought their woke ideology with them. The suburbs around Dallas is heavily Indian and Muslim (tech industry). Don't count on Texas to always be red. The democrats hate America so they're always trying to turn red states blue so they can continue their destruction of this country.

AI Overview

+7
No, Chicago Police officers are generally not allowed to actively interfere with or prevent officers from other jurisdictions (including other states or federal agencies) from executing valid arrest warrants, especially when those warrants are for criminal offenses.
However, there are nuances and specific policies governing cooperation, especially when it comes to certain types of warrants:
Criminal Warrants: Chicago Police are expected to cooperate with other agencies in executing valid criminal warrants.
Civil Immigration Warrants: The Chicago Police Department has strict limitations on its involvement in federal civil immigration enforcement, and will not detain, arrest, or assist ICE based on civil immigration violations, detainers, or administrative warrants, except when there is a public safety concern or a criminal warrant.
Requests for Assistance: Other jurisdictions seeking assistance from the Chicago Police Department with a search warrant (including those served outside Cook County or the City of Chicago) would need to follow proper procedures, including notifying the local jurisdiction and obtaining necessary approvals from CPD leadership.
Interjurisdictional Pursuits: In situations involving a pursuit that crosses jurisdictional lines, Chicago police officers are required to comply with their department's guidelines and any existing interjurisdictional agreements, and may need supervisor approval to engage in the pursuit.
In essence, while the Chicago Police Department aims to cooperate with other agencies in pursuing individuals with valid warrants, they operate under their own jurisdictional limitations and specific policies, particularly concerning civil immigration matters, to ensure they are upholding the rights and safety of all residents.
If you have an outstanding warrant, especially if you live in another state, it is crucial to consult with a criminal defense attorney experienced in Illinois law to get legal advice tailored to your specific situation.

DOES THIS MEAN THE TEXAS RANGERS CAN PULL THE TEXANS OUT THE HYATT AND THE CHICAGO POLICE CAN'T INTERFERE??

According to Texas State Rep Christina Morales; who is staying atThe Q Center in St Charles with a dozen or so of her buddies, Pritzker is indeed paying for all of this. Their flights, too.
She was in my Uber last night and told me so herself. Right before she had her boss order her a tequila and soda from Maggiano’s in Naperville. They had a meeting there. Appropriate LE agencies have been notified. But maybe I’ll throw a call in the US Attorney for the Northern District just to cover all the bases. See something, say something. Right?
