Another Panic Attack Coming

CWB dives deeper into Conehead's recent appointment of a "director of strategy:"

• Mayor Brandon Johnson went on national television Tuesday morning and did what Chicagoans have seen him do many times before: talk in circles.

  On MSNBC’s morning show, host Joe Scarborough asked Johnson a simple yes-or-no question: Would adding 5,000 more cops, combined with strong social programs, make Chicago safer? Scarborough asked again. And again. Johnson never answered, opting instead to do what he does so often: duck, dodge, and deliver a word salad.

  As video of Johnson’s dodging spread online, Ald. Gilbert Villegas (36th) offered the response Johnson should have given: “Yes, we would take the resources to hire additional police officers along with the other resources. Not a hard question to answer.”

  By afternoon, Chicagoans had a good idea why Johnson wouldn’t touch the question. Word leaked that he had quietly hired a fierce defund-the-police proponent, Sheila Bedi, as his administration’s new director of strategy.

Sure - a defund the police advocate....in charge of "strategy." What could go wrong?

Coincidentally, Conehead is suddenly falling behind the national trend of embracing anti-crime strategies:

• NEW YORK - Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) on Tuesday called out judges who she feels prematurely released alleged criminals back onto the streets without holding them on bail. Hochul’s comments come as President Donald Trump increases the pressure on states with large cities to clean up crime.
• CALIFORNIA - Gavin Newsom announced Thursday he’s sending new teams of state police to major California cities —contrasting the effort with Donald Trump’s unilateral deployment of National Guard troops in Los Angeles and Washington. The California Highway Patrol troopers will target crimes like auto theft and drug dealing in Los Angeles, San Diego, inland regions and the San Francisco Bay Area. Trump recently threatened to send Guard members to San Francisco, saying he would “clean up” the city.
• WASHINGTON DC - Mayor Muriel Bowser initially expressed fear of President Donald Trump’s plan to crack down on crime in the nation’s capital, but its clear success made her change her mind. After Trump announced his plans to deploy National Guard troops and assume oversight of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to tackle rising crime in Washington, D.C., Bowser warned such a crackdown would be "unsettling and unprecedented."

  However, the mayor admitted at a press conference on Wednesday that the federal surge has made a noticeable impact on one of America's most famously dangerous cities. At the briefing, Bowser displayed a chart crediting the influx of FBI, DEA, ATF, U.S. Park Police and Capitol Police with bolstering MPD’s efforts and declared, "We greatly appreciate the surge of officers that enhance what MPD has been able to do in this city."

An 87% drop in carjackings alone. Obviously, someone told the democrats that being pro-crime was a sure-fire way to lose the midterms....all the polling said it was an 80-20 issue and being on the "20" side was kind of stupid.

Fata$$ is MIA and Conehead is twisting in the wind. Stuff like that could drive someone into a panic!
