Gov. JB Pritzker signed a new law Friday that guarantees undocumented students in Illinois have access to student financial aid.
House Bill 460 makes financial aid accessible to all Illinois residents, regardless of their legal immigration status.
“If you live in Illinois and are pursuing higher education, you should have access to the same opportunities as your peers,” said Villanueva (D-Chicago), who introduced the bill. “This law is about making sure no student is left behind because of where they were born.”
Chicago is how broke?
Illinois is how far into debt?
But hey, ILLEGAL ALIENS are still at the top of democrat lists for money that ought to be spent on Illinois kids.

So then if this applies to students from "out of country", shouldn't this also apply for out of state students as well? And don't out of state students also get charged a higher tuition? If I was an out of state student, I would be fuming and demand equal consideration on tuition and financial assistance. But bottom line is that neither "out of country" read illegal immigrant students or out of state students should get a break.
Wonder if any US student, required to comply with out-of-state tuition, will find any grounds to seek reduction in their final required expenses?
Pritzker signed the law, but so did many state representatives and senators.
College is a big con. The whole system needs to be gutted and rebuilt. This is all about the unnecessary university admins getting the fat paychecks.

I attended Daly Community College on Pulaski in 1990. It was much, much harder than Colorado State University is today. Why because she was white and we made too much money. What a joke. Now they’re going to give illegals scholarships or aid and housing and all kinds of other handouts. So schools charge higher tuition to make up for that lost state funding". Back in the old days that could be an argument, but now with the illegal aliens breaking the law to get here and getting the same rate as in state students, that old argument makes no real sense. Whether they claim to pay taxes or not. Never happen in Mexico.
