For sale....at a Salvation Army store....in Chicago Heights....with the CPS sticker still on it.
And they want to raise our property taxes....again.

Sold as is, even with the CPS sticker on it! A few years ago didn't someone post photos in a news story of laptops found in a dumpster at a public school. For some reason I think it was Senn HS.

Or were these student take home laptops supposed to be like 'gifts' to the needy?
The Democrat’s keep taxing us to death as they keep waisting taxpayers money.
As a detective I have had to notify Board of Ed several times when cpd or outside agencies have come a marked laptop like the one in photo.
We have been numbed to this theft, that no one cares. Even when they knew who had the missing laptops but failed to do anything about the losses.
And now when they pop up. Board of ed has no intention at returning these laptops to the inventory?

Actually, this Chromebook is assigned to a student from Sullivan High School and was last scanned 7/30/25...it probably was lost or stolen and ended up at Salvation Army. Return it to the school so they can clear their asset inventory. Someone could let Salvation Army know that it can be returned to the Sullivan High School.

The reason nobody cares is because the $23M (77,507) in missing or lost laptops and tech devices was federal money.
CPS was FOIA'd for a school-by-school breakdown of the lost or missing laptops and tech devices, but denied the request based on confidentiality as CPS claims to be still investigating the matter. Yet, when the investigation action plan (dates and summary of happenings in the investigation) was FOIA'd, CPS claims to have no responsive records.
A theory is CPS needed to fill a $23M financial hole in their audit reports to the Feds and used this $23M to help fill some gaps.

Today, I saw a guy on the median on Michigan Ave- near Wrigley building. He was waving about a “Fuck Ice” poster while recording himself for TikTok likely. CPD was stationed a few yards away. The same guy, once the poster was down, was donning a “America Needs Teachers” sweatshirt. Everything you need to know about the public school system. A once noble profession turned into professional public grifters over the last 50 years.
