Local concerned englewood residents report hearing what sounded like possible high pitched female screaming and sobbing coming from the Lieutenants office from the Area 1 PRT building. 007 responded and coded the job when they couldn’t find the source of the alleged bellowing. One local witness who only identified himself as “Johnny from the bottle gang” said it was a loud screaming of “why, why didn’t I get a gold star again! I’m number one!” This report was not confirmed as Johnny took another hit from the bottle and sadly fell out. The investigation continues but the englewood community remains on edge.

The BIA has a Chief, Deputy Chief, Commander, and at least four Lt’s, one who is the commanding officer of confidential, and the unit is still a mess.

Jonathan Medina to Commander of the Bureau of Internal Affairs. He was a merit supervisor and did very little time in a district as a Lt or Sgt. The guy is a @$$ kissing tool. He loves to jam up officers and frame them. I guess that’s the experience needed to go from Sgt of BIA to Lt and now Commander. I lost ALL respect for how the CPD lets people rise to the top and picks Gold Stars. This guy gets me sick. For all the officers not getting it, guys like this get promoted, while you risk your lives and do good police work. It’s all a scam. Worry about yourself and your family. That’s all you can control. The CPD is only a job, nothing less nothing more.

Nailed it, FOP,PBPA must fight to end all exempt /command positions. It's the biggest drain on our pension fund. 95% are unqualified. Assign police officers from all ranks to run districts, areas . You will have 1,000's of applicants for these positions for a bump in pay(non pensionable) retire at last rank that you earned. For a car and straight days.

All these promotions tell you is that Patrol is for losers. If you’re in Patrol you are screwed, with how they’ve gut the specialized units the ability to advance are so limited that only the GFs and relatives of the bosses go anymore. Working hard in patrol gets you nowhere anymore. What do these new kids have to work towards? These promotions just show that it’s not hard workers but career inside people who are seen around HQ daily. You’d think that Snelling would have used his position to take care of workers. Nope, cast them aside and lets the puppet masters control his Department.

Merit since 1998 because Daley felt too many white males scored high on the test. Yes, the same Daley that is now drooling on himself and doesn't know his own name. Merit has destroyed the dept. Most......very close to all the brass had merit in their closet. It's a sad way to run a department as big as Chicago.
Constitutional policing is full of made up positions for the connected. Look at the turnover of sworn and civilian and the red flags are everywhere. They keep hiring more and more people because they have to validate all these fake leadership roles.

Pay attention to the Lt promotions before this new list begins. Prof Patty had an invite only "study"'group for mostly connected Sgt's on this job. If you think it wasn't worth it go through the first 2-3 lists of Lts class from the old list and you'll see a majority of her invited students on the list. Some were even MERIT sgt's who miraculously scored in the top 50 of the test. The names above are spot on. I'm sure there is about another 5-10 names we could add there.

Only 2 male blacks were in the top 65. None of little Richie boot lickers,just Sergeants that studied their butts off. So ,this was the start of destroying CPD. Back then a few Asian , Black, Hispanic and Whites. Today ,it's90% Black and Hispanic. DEI , not a term used by Dr.MLK. He wanted equality for all, not unqualified people.

Plus he is not a PO, he is a security specialist. If it was really a demotion, why would you give him Sgt’s pay. He is just getting the maximum amount of money for him to sell back furlough, bfd, personal, and comp. Glad to see that Snelling, after nearly a whole year of the policy being implemented where a PO can no longer become a Commander, that the PO who was a Commander is “demoted”. This job is a joke.
