SCC - help me out, is this sarcasm? Are foot chases really prohibited?
about four years ago, the Department forbade foot chases for misdemeanors (shoplifters, thefts, etc) because someone said 9-out-of-10 foot chases that ended in someone getting shot were over misdemeanor offenses.
This just in : COPA has placed the CTA train that struck the suspect on administrative duty, and the superintendent has placed the officer in callback jail awaiting further investigation that will exceed the 30 day routine desk duty.
This is a feel good story for sure. A young criminal taken out by the third rail. Rest in piss ,young blood.
OT - Rowling reminds of Peppermint Patty from Peanuts. I remember her glamor shot that she submitted when she applied for Superintendent. Looked nothing like her….
