Still openings and promotions
There are still a few openings that weren't filled. And we're due for a bunch of promotions (piggy-move-up.) The retirements are coming fast and furious and the shortages are still to be felt. I must confess that I'm shocked at the new Chief of Detectives. It'll be interesting to see how the detectives take her leadership. I'm still digesting the TRU and SOS being stripped away from Patrol Division. Seems D/C Chiezewski is getting the Mounted, Marine and Central Detention portions of Special Functions; so his fief is growing while D/C Radke's and Chief Maurer's are shrinking.
CORRECTION: Central Detention is going to the 001 District, not Central Control Group

You're not the only one shocked by the new Chief of Detectives. She's dumber than a box of rocks. Then again, she's connected to LAPA and likes to golf with the bosses. Also married well. Remember she's a Soto. Fortunately, the Chief of Dick's (now isn't that a misnomer) doesn't do much but shuffle paper. Remember Hillyard saying he had no clue about the investigation involving the two little boy's in 007 accused of killing a playmate a few years back. Just shows you don't need to know anything about what you're doing to be a boss in this Dept.
