Detective Question
Does anyone know if the dicks ever got their uniform checks? We heard it was mostly detectives that got shorted and as of Friday afternoon, a couple of people contacted us and said there still weren't checks available.
We guess it's not as bad as those recruits last month that were issued duty availability checks in error and Payroll was going to short their next two or three checks to make up the difference. Welcome to the Chicago Police Department boys and girls!

I got mine. It came as a "Live" check sent out after 1400 hrs on Friday. No Direct Deposit.

I agree with the above post. What is the matter with you people. Always complaining about 016, 022, 008, SOS, TRU, SVU, DETs, ect. If your are such great Cops why don't u bid into one of those districts and show them how its done. Or pass a test and show SVU, RBT and HGS how it is done. Me thinks that it is easy to bash while you are working in a shit district. I think you don't have the stones to go to 016 or 022 because you might have to actually do your job and not blow off jobs like you do in the ghetto. You might have to lock up a neighbor but its easier for you to work in a shit area where you don't know anyone and then when your friend gets arrested by 016 and 022 for something they did wrong then you can blame them. Yeah, you must be a super cop and everyone else sucks.

There are over 400 recruits in the academy and the pre-service sergeants will be coming back in at the end of Jan. There is no room for det's there. You might see them after the Sgt's class is done, that would be in late Feb.

Anyone hear about the secret greek study group that went on today for the sgts test? The test has yet to be announced and these guys are already passing out the answers. The best is that these future bosses need this much time to memorize the answers. It would be nice to see what they would score if they took the test legit.
