If 009 is so unfair to you "brotha" why don't you leave? Every period there's openings in 2,3,5,6,7, etc... why don't you transfer? What, don't want to work with your own kind? You realize that they're too much for your dog ass to handle, right. Yeah, that's what i thought. But as much as you put down the white man, as soon as you can you'll transfer to a predominantly white district (18,1,etc) because those people are civilized, and then of course you'll be a dog ass in that district too. 009 has produced excellent leaders and has made many of the specialized units in CPD happy with the quality of people coming from 009 to them.
Case and point: Sgt Costello now in TRU, Sgt Jania also in TRU, J.D. Davis in SOS, Finnegan in SWAT, Anderson in SOS, John Fitzgerald in TRU, Tim Gaskin in TRU...The list goes on and on...Anybody who knows these coppers who once hailed from 009 ARE all workers. You need to get your facts straight puppy.

I agree. 009 is the district which seems to have a grasp of what true police work is all about. I work in TRU and I have personally witnessed the guys in 009 going the extra mile out there dealing with the gangbangers. The district has very busy back logs and with all of the gangs they have to deal with-I'm pretty impressed with the "quality" out there. I would work in 009 with these guys-at the very least I KNOW they have my six.

Most of the coppers (including sgts and lts) in 009 are there because of someone sponsoring them. That being said, they are still out there working which I give them alot of credit for. The commander and captains are all political DO-NOTHINGS and wouldn't know police work if it slapped them in the face.
009 is made of great cops and they really know how to do the job. You should be privileged to work in such an amazing district.

Funny you should mention Mt. Greenwood Park's pool. My wife likes to do her laps up there. She actuially told me a few times about what you said. She was telling me how some of the middle age females appeared to be "hooking up" with some awfully young guys at the pool. Most of the people up there know a little bit about each other by chatting with each other. My wife was saying that she would see women she knew who were either married to cops or cops themselves either leaving in cars with a young guy after they talked for a while at the pool or "sneak" inside the big field house. My said they would come back in about a 1/2 hr to 45 minutes and have a big smile on their faces. I told her they are probably their sons or something but now I am thinking it was probably some quickie hook ups.

Authorities were trying to determine who defaced the Southwest Side office of Ald. Edward M. Burke (14th), Chicago police said this evening.
A Deering District officer on patrol found the names "Mock" and "Evo" scrawled on the front and back of the building, located at 2650 W. 51st St., around 10 a.m. this morning.
"'Mock' was spray-painted at the base of the 14th Ward sign in front of the building, and 'Mock' and 'Evo' were spray-painted on a rear window," according to district Lt. Daniel Hudak, who did not know the significance of the graffiti.

(AP) - A group of lawyers violating the law? Say it ain't so!
The Justice Department and the American Bar Association agreed Friday that the association, the nation's largest group of lawyers, had indeed violated a 1996 court order that settled a government antitrust suit against the ABA.
The ABA even agreed to pay $185,000 to reimburse the government for its costs in investigating what the Justice Department called a case of civil contempt of court.

dont knock boreczky and jackstavich for running the watch.. the watch was fine until sgt moreno brought in the l.a.p.a. brothers who came in and made tulsa a house hold name. jackstavich may be fat and a slob but works hard and does his job. just look at the cars on the thrird watch and not many do any work what so ever. 911 is useless, 913 is never available, 915 useless, 921 works hard on a slow beat, 923 is out looking for pussy, 925 is sitting by the cell looking at chicks and flexing muscles, 931 useless, 933 useless, 935 talks crazy all night long and thinks about beer.
912 and 914 are a waste of manpower, 922 is useless, 924 is concerned about 501 and nothing more.932 and 934 have always been a waste and runners for the desk.. and the best from the third watch that went to tact augle/king/makusis/russell were garbage on the watch and suck even more upstairs..and all the rapids from useless rico to the rest of the idiots need to find different careers ..police work is not for you
i agree with the previous posts..but i dont think jakstavich is much of a worker..maybe a eater...and borecky is just a harmless drunk who should be a bartender instead iof the police.. he makes norm from cheers look like a light weight..
i work in 009 on the 2nd watch and the third watch is full of backstabbers, useless dog asses and dogshit underneath your wifes shoe. you complain about nothing and most of you could not make it anywhere else. you need to stop your complaining and bid out to somewhere where no one knows you. you sit in tulsa all night and complain about doing your job. you eat up all the freebee's and then you drink til 4 in the mornig at a hillbilly bar where the best thing to look at is the ho's walking down the street trying to buy crack.im listened to your crap on the radio and you are the most unprofessional group in this city...do us all a favor a shut the fuck up

I have to disagree putting Griffin in with the rest. She may be too heavy on traffic stuff but she shows up on all the hot jobs, is probably #2 in activity (again, maybe traffic but at least she does something) and she is not afraid to mix it up (semper fi - she's probably tougher than most of the guys)
