Daley Receives Mediocre Grades

No, not his law school results:
  • Mayor Richard Daley's administration merits average to failing grades for its record on economic development, housing, transportation, education, criminal justice and ethics, according to a new study from a coalition of interest groups and local activists.

The report card is the result of a year-old project called "Developing Government Accountability to the People," and is scheduled to be released Monday, just weeks before voters decide whether to give Daley another four-year term in the Feb.27 election.
Combined with the latest union non endorsements, is Daley on the way out? Hell, no. But one wonders where all this bad publicity was the past few years when everything was headed south and all the media could do was wink and nod at business as usual.

Every time Richie gets up there he has FLOP SWEAT. yech...

A couple of years ago Channel 7's political reporter Andy Shaw asked Mayor Richard M. Daley if he was grooming his son to be mayor.

A tearful Richard Daley ranted back, "How dare you, my son is dead!"

How dysfunctional can that family be when he can't even acknowledge the existence of the kid.

Patrick Daley didn't exactly enlist out of patriotism, the Army caught up with him. After the baseball bat battery in Michigan, he got a Congressional appointment to West Point from Rep. William Lipinski. Poor kids go to jail, rich kids get to go to military school. Patrick drops out of the academy after one year, but he still had an enlistment obligation with the Army. It took years but the Army finally caught up with him.

Hope he stays safe like we hope all of our troops do, but I hope he chooses another line of work besides politics. Dad should wind up in jail.

I believe he is used to mediocre grades. Didnt he have to take the bar several times because he failed it? I also believe that although daddy daley wanted him and his brothers to go to St. Ignatius none were smart enough to pass the entrance exam.

I would have more compassion and sympathy in my heart for the recent death of the heroic thoroughbred stallion BARBARO than for most of the "politicians" in Chicago.

Fitz and the feds could never indict, convict and imprison enough of these corrupt rats.

I am no fan of Daley, but the people giving him these "grades" are ultra liberal and not friends of the police. Just look at their comments about the "F" Daley received for Criminal Justice.

Why shouldn't he get mediocre marks? He is simply a mediocre mayor.

To 5:03 poster:

You are wasting your vote. Up until a few years ago they had to count that vote, however a few years ago a resolution was passed thst write-in candidates for state and city offices must be registered with the Elections board.
