Philly Media Calls It Out
From the Philadelphia Daily News we were forwarded this article by Christine M. Flowers regarding the murder of Philly PD Officer Patrick McDonald:
- After Officer Patrick McDonald was assassinated by Daniel Giddings on Tuesday, neighbors came out of the woodwork and did what neighbors often do.
They made excuses. Worse, they eulogized Giddings, who was also killed.
Here were people who could justify the murder of a police officer by playing the race card, forgetting that so many of their own black brothers and sisters are soldiers in the battle between good and evil that takes place every day on Philadelphia's streets.
Let's say this once and for all, without mincing any words:
Daniel Giddings was a worthless piece of trash whose exit from this world can only make it a better place. The horror is that, in leaving, he took with him a man like Patrick McDonald.
It would seem that the media in Philadelphia is turning a corner that Chicago media hasn't even begun to approach yet. Witness the CLTV report quoting some relative of the OFFENDER as being some innocent devout muslim doing his morning prayers.
- a named target of a drug conspiracy
- found carrying narcotics in his mouth
- a home-body (unemployed)
- praying in an automobile?
- armed
- with even more drugs in his house
Reports like CLTV's are asinine and further erode any semblance of actual reporting. They could take a page out of Christine M. Flowers' writing. We can even tolerate her being a lawyer if she writes like that all the time.

Wow! This lady is great. Actually she is just saying what a majority of the citizens are thinking, and that is the medias job although they only voice the opinions of pussy ass liberals. The political correctness era is hopefully coming to an end and the media needs to realize that sometimes you need to call a spade a spade. If Obama is elected this country will be forced even further left (if possible) and we will see in 10 or so years the biggest swing back to conservatism. The french are trying to do this right now, but I think it might be to late for them. Radical Muslims will take over that country within 30 years. Hopefully our country starts the change before it is too late.
just read the article...a powerful summary of the divide in this country, a divide between the law and the lawless....race plays a part, maybe in the description, but the end result remains the same: the law abiding v. the lawless....and who is manning the barriers?....and, as an aside, between the two political parties, with a presidential election coming up, which party supports law and order, the rule of law.....

There are two Christine's when it comes to news at either the Philadelphia Inquirer or Philadelphia Daily News:
Christine Olley and Christine Flowers.
One is an ass. The other is all class. It's not hard to figure out who is the decent woman.
It's not the first time Christine Flowers has spoken out and showed her support for the PPD. She tells it like it and that's the way it should be. The woman really cares, unlike the biased liberals who pretend to report the news.
Kudos to Christine Flowers. She's definitely good people.

When I heard this person talk about what happen, she spoke about the shooter as if he was a great guy? It was obvious that she was not a witness to the incident and lacked character by defending a stupid shithead in the hood.
The mission in these communities is to defend the spice. The spice is life and so lie, distort, and create an alternative reality as a defensive mechanism to law enforcement.
Police officers soon realized that more than one neighbor maybe on the payroll or will voluntarily support thug behavior.
Neighbors or relatives may not involve themselves in actual drug transactions but, they passively or actively contribute to the operation.
The families and friends of drug dealers accept the reality that as a family, they need to do what they got to do to survive. No one else is going to take care of them and so they are part of the criminally antisocial behavior of the drug culture.
You want to destroy their economic support based and lying ways. Legalize dope and take all the money out of it. These fuckers will cry!

Someone like Ms. Flowers could become a NATIONAL sensation. She is saying things that decent people are thinking and saying in private.
The tide is changing. The only people that don't know that are the scumbag criminals and the Chicago media.
The thing about CLTV reporting is that they put the police on the same playing field as the criminals. They often leave out details fed to them by police in an attempt to let the public make there own conclusions......from the information the media(cltv) chooses to release. With all the corruption out here though, can you blame them?

While traveling through other states this last summer, one can realize how much the media respects and appreciates their police officers. Las Vegas had a shooting and the media coverage was positive, as it is in some eastern states. Chicago media sucks. Channel 9 was reporting on an actor saying he loved Chicago police and all the anchors in the morning burst out laughing. There you have it. Thank you Robin and Larry and fat weather guy.

I sent a copy of Christine's article to the nit-wits(sweeney, et.al.) @ the sun-times with a bit of a narrative voicing my outrage at the chicago media coverage of our fallen Brother, and recent Police involved shootings. Don't know if it will do any good, but at least they know where one coppers stands.

In Philly, radio stations hold benefits for fallen officers and they speak of the officer's sacrifice not about how the offender is also a victim..

Those statements are only partially true. In print, The Philadelphia Daily News and the Philadelphia Inquirer sympathize more so with the offenders and like to call them "victims", but you do find the occaisional diamonds in the rough, such as Christine Flowers.
Only one or two big news stations are supportive of the police. The others look for ways to crucify them, especially Fox29. They are the absolute worst.
When it comes to radio, 93.3 WMMR is the biggest supporter of the police, especially the Preston & Steve Show in the morning (Steve's brother is a P/O). They help with fundraisers for the families of officers who have been killed in the line of duty. They are a class act and are always doing what they can for the PPD.
And then on the other hand, there's Wired 96.5 with Chio in the morning. He's nothing more than a fat piece of shit who needs his ass kicked.
I don't listen to the station, but a post was done on Domelights (on SCC's sidebar) about a trivia question Chio asked: How many police officers were murdered in Philadelphia the past year? The choices were 13, 0 or 4.
That arrogant son of a bitch pulled a similar stunt when officer Chuck Cassidy was murdered. The station allowed has a "love you/hate you" kind of line and played messages from callers saying "Eff the police"; this as Officer Cassidy was clinging to life.
Eff the media in Philly. They're just a bunch of liberal idiots who put a slant on everything.

Hello friends. My name is Christine Flowers, and I was directed to this blog site by many brave Chicago PD men and women who were kind enough to read my piece on Sgt. Patrick McDonald. I just wanted to thank all of you, quite humbly, for writing to me, offering to treat me to dinner, asking me to run for Mayor, and generally showing me a kindness that I wasn't expecting. I am not a professional journalist, but an attorney, and am not accustomed to receiving kudos on the things I write (Philly is a tough town!) But if I had to be applauded for one piece, this is the one I would have chosen.
