Just weeks before he is to be sentenced, political fund-raiser Tony Rezko is in the midst of intense discussions with federal investigators, sources close to the investigation confirmed to the Chicago Sun-Times.
There’s no question federal authorities are interested in Rezko, a former top adviser and fundraiser to Gov. Blagojevich, as a federal witness. But one source who spoke on the condition of anonymity, warned it’s too early to call the discussions full-fledged cooperation.
Already, however, Rezko has provided information to the feds, who are in the process of vetting it, sources said.
What was it Milhouse Van Houten told Bart Simpson? " I can't go to Juvie! They use guys like me as currency!" Who knows what Blago would give up to stay out of prison? We mean besides Mell.

Its a shame but Mayor Daley has led another down that dark alley. There are so many but the next one will be Blago. Its sad because Blago is the only one who stands against the Mayor. Even I a little punny police officer cannot put my name on this blog in fear that my free speech will not come back to have me out of a job and collectting cans to pay my bills. The Mayor will not tolerate any back talk not just from me but anyone who stands in his way Blago and Santos to name a couple. He sets those individuals up that he feels are potential threats against his kingdom. Yes he plays on peoples greed and weaknesses (Blago & Santos) to trap them. Once he has you your done!!!! I dont know if there is a politician in this state that he does not have the goods on. Just wait if Obama gets in the germs will spread far and wide. Barack he has you too! You are and will always be his pawn. In chess the pawn is the most expendable piece to protect the king and believe me he has you in his cross hairs. This guy Rezzo has been around a long time making important friends for his billionaire buddy back in the old middle east. You can say this is political terrorism corrupting our local politicians by selling out our county to the terrorists overseas. Perhaps charges of Treason and the Death penalty should be enforced.

There has been growing resentment by career prosecutors in the US Attorney’s office. The indictment of the Blago has been held up as to not affect the upcoming presidential election. Rezko has meet with federal prosecutors about a dozen times over the last seven weeks and they believe that they have more than enough to indict the governor now. The leaks by people close to the case that have been reported by the media in the last few days are the result of frustration by prosecutors close to the case because they are ready to go but can’t get the green light from above. Rezko bought the property next door to Obama and sold it to him for a loss for a reason. That was influence. The US Attorney’s does not want to get involved in the election process but if they do not indict Blago before the election and let the public know about the Rezko connection to Obama and what was involved they are effecting the process. And as far as Da Mayor is involved with his own troubles we have to wait until the Sanchez, Reyes, Degnan, and Donovan trails go forward before we see the little weasel get his
Rumor mill just crashed, it had Rezko keeping his mouth shut and being pardon for doing so. Just goes to show you that some of those whores you see hanging around thew criminal courts can't get anything straight. Maybe there will be an October surprise.

If Obama loses, he sings like a bird and Daley, Blago and Obama might all go down in flames! More reason to vote for the lesser of the two evils!

The possible answer to why Daley has not, and will not be indicted is that he is in cohoots (sp) with the Feds. Think about it. If one ever saw the movie "The Departed", remember that the top crime boss always avoided the law. Why? He would throw the Feds a bone every once and a while. Hired truck? Low level players. Santos? Expendable.
The Feds get their occasional head, Daley skates. Nice!! I scratch your back, you scratch mine...The Chicago way.
Daley is not going anywhere but Michigan, to retire, when he is good and ready. While I would like to see him doing the perp walk, it is just not going to happen.
So the next time folks ask Fitz why he hasn't gone after Daley, you may be able to answer the question yourself.

He IS part of the Chicago Machine. His patron IS Emil Jones. He DID win his first senate seat by getting the disenfranchised involved and making sure all had a voice...oh, wait, I got confused, he won that by using obscure political rules to obfuscate the process and have all the competitors nominating petitions ruled invalid so he was unopposed...that's right.

If BHO loses, they will start singing in hopes they can get their sentences reduced.
Blago may make a deal to save his wife, even if it puts his FIL in prison.
